Maybe you've heard all about the island's endless party reputation, day or night, but didn't quite believe it. So let us bring you up to speed. The rumours are true.
No matter day or night, from the end of April until mid-October, you really can party at any time or day of the week. This is especially true in the peak season period between mid-June and the end of August - and even for most of September when closing parties start.
Whether you are a Friday-to-Monday "weekend offender", a budget-conscious midweek visitor, or have the luxury of a full week or more here, get to know what goes down and what to expect on any given day.
Friday
Back at home, in reality, Friday represents the start of the weekend. You'll be pleased to know that it is considered equally important on Ibiza. Nowadays, the trend for extended weekend breaks to Ibiza means that Friday nights are colossal on the island.
That is mirrored by the calibre of parties on offer - including Ibiza's biggest, from a certain Calvin Harris (pictured above) and several other big hitters, such as Marco Carola and David Guetta. Oft.

Saturday
In terms of numbers on the dancefloor, Saturday is pound-for-pound Ibiza's busiest day of the week. But it might surprise you to learn that it wasn't always the case.
Little over a decade ago, most DJs took big fees to play weekend shows elsewhere in Europe while most holidaymakers stayed for at least a week, typically arriving and departing on Saturdays. Ergo, compared to the other six days, Saturdays were a bit of an afterthought.
But not anymore. In the modern era, Saturdays are rightfully enormous.

Sunday
Sunday is simply a huge party day on Ibiza. In terms of the type of party on offer, you are spoilt for choice. It's one of the most diverse days, with something for everybody and several big names. It's also the day of the week the maturer crowd has a tendency to hit the dancefloor.

Monday
Monday blues? Pfft. Not here. While the rest of the world recoils with dread at the mere thought of the Monday commute and returning to the office, Ibiza bucks the trend. Here, we've chosen to embrace Mondays! In fact, ask around, and many profess it to be the best party day of the week.
This isn't even a new phenomenon. It's been this way as far back as we can remember, since the days of the Monday night wars between MANUMISSION and Cocoon (showing our age here!)

Tuesday
It's not a consistent rule, but generally speaking Tuesday is the time of week when you can start to notice the tourist numbers dip a little. The modern trend for extended weekend breaks frees up some capacity on beaches, reduces road traffic and makes parking easier.
Club-wise though? Well, no rest for the wicked!

Wednesday
By Wednesday, we have reached a midweek lull. This is also a day of the week, when some businesses opt to close and give their staff a rest day. Having just told you that, now let us backtrack because, truthfully, there's no such thing as a quiet day on Ibiza.
Much like Tuesdays, Wednesdays are noticeably calmer at some places on the island. You wouldn't notice much different if you were to attend one of Wednesday's biggest parties, though - the most popular dancefloors still rage.
