Off the back of an already strong start to the 2025 summer season, Ushuaïa Ibiza's flagship Saturday daytime ANTS Metalworks had yet another artist surprise lined up.
This week, it brought out the self-styled "High-Tech Minimal" maestro, Boris Brejcha. Known for his deep, punchy basslines and hypnotic groove, the German DJ had us yearning for some evening action.
Scheduled to take over the dancefloor at 21:40, we made our way to the front of the dancefloor to lock in a decent spot especially for Brejcha. He soon materialised from behind the decks to an almighty crowd reception.

In true Boris Brejcha fashion, a droning atmosphere set the initial vibe, followed by a strong build-up and a drop that blew your socks clean off. This launched the crowd into a frenzy.
Surrounded by the towering Metalworks stage, visuals and strobes intensified the industrial assembly line theme. Brejcha's set took on a dark, futuristic and almost dystopian flavour. A full sensory onslaught that amplified the high-tech chaos unfolded.
Beneath his signature Venetian mask, there was no doubt Brejcha was in his element, relishing his time on stage. The artist swayed rhythmically, arms slicing through the air like a conductor orchestrating chaos. It's always refreshing to see a DJ so immersed in their performance.
Highlights from his one hour plus performance included his signature tracks Falling Sky and Up Down Jumper, both of which sent ripples of excitement through the crowd.
The set reaffirms why Brejcha remains one of the most distinctive names on the circuit, having carved out his own unique space in the house and techno scene.
If you're seeking a day-to-night party with a loyal following, ANTS is a weekly Saturday ritual. Catering to lovers of House, Techno and everything in between, the colony move together as one.
