August is Ibiza at full throttle. While the island's beaches, restaurants, bars and world-famous clubs are in peak-season mode, there's plenty happening on the streets: from open-air concerts and cinema to local fiestas, food festivals and family-friendly events. Here's our pick of what's on this month. And that's not forgetting the total solar eclipse on 12 August.
Festes de la Terra
1 until 15 August 2026
Experience Ibiza beyond the beaches and nightlife at the Festes de la Terra, the island's biggest annual celebration of its history and identity. Over 15 days, Ibiza Town comes alive with concerts, traditional processions, family activities, exhibitions, street parties, fireworks and cultural events, offering visitors an authentic glimpse into local life at its most festive.

Every August, Ibiza Town throws one of the island's biggest celebrations, with concerts, street parties, family entertainment, cultural traditions and a buzzing atmosphere. The grand finale comes on 8 August, when a spectacular midnight fireworks display over the harbour lights up the island's capital. Unmissable!
Festival Nits Amples

The long-running Festival Nits Amples returns to San Antonio with another programme of free open-air concerts celebrating a broad mix of musical styles. Staged in the heart of the town, the series brings together local performers and visiting artists for relaxed summer evenings under the stars, making it one of the municipality's most enduring cultural events.
Feels Like Eclipse Festival

The summer's most extraordinary party coincides with a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event as Feels Like Eclipse Festival takes over S'Arenal beach in San Antonio on 12 August. Timed to coincide with the total solar eclipse, the open-air gathering pairs the spectacle in the sky with a soundtrack from leading lights of the electronic music scene including Jamie Jones, Franky Rizardo and Miguelle & Tons. Dorado Live Shows
Thu, 13 August
Concept Hotel Group's acclaimed Dorado Live Shows continue their summer programme with intimate open-air concerts celebrating Spain's indie, rock and alternative music scene. Held at Venice Bay in San Antonio Bay, August's edition features Rufus T. Firefly, supported by Chill Band, before the night rounds off with the official Rock Nights after-party.
Fira de Artesania
Every day from 14 August until the end of the month, from 20:00
Held along Ibiza Town's picturesque harbour, the Fira de Artesania brings together local makers displaying handcrafted jewellery, ceramics, textiles, leather goods and other artisan products. The relaxed waterfront setting makes it an ideal place for an evening stroll, with visitors able to browse unique creations while soaking up the lively atmosphere of the marina.
Fireworks display in San Antonio
Monday 24 August
San Antonio's biggest summer celebration transforms the town into one giant street party. Live music, traditional folklore, children's activities and an 80s party build towards one of Ibiza's most spectacular fireworks displays, exploding over the bay at midnight in a dazzling finale that draws thousands of spectators.
Festival Flamenco at Las Dalias
Thursday 27 August, from 20:00
Expect plenty of '¡Olé!' moments as Las Dalias hosts an evening of contemporary flamenco. Tomasito, El Duende Callejero and Salistre will be taking to the stage in the venue's atmospheric garden, promising infectious rhythms, raw emotion and an electric atmosphere before the night continues at Akasha.
Astroturismo at BiBo Park
27, 28 & 29 August, at 20:30
Swap the dancefloor for the night sky with this family-friendly stargazing experience at BiBo Park. Led by Orion Astronomy, visitors can observe the Moon, Saturn and distant star clusters through professional telescopes while learning about constellations, myths and the universe. Food trucks are also on hand, making it an enjoyable evening out for all ages.
Ibiza Concerts International Festival
29, 30 and 31 August, from 21:00
Classical music takes centre stage as the Ibiza Concerts International Festival returns with a programme of chamber concerts featuring acclaimed musicians from around the world. Hosted in historic venues around Ibiza Town, the festival offers the chance to hear everything from established masterpieces to contemporary works in intimate surroundings.
Ibiza Vinyl Market at Kumharas
25 August, from 18:00
Music lovers and crate diggers should make a beeline for the Ibiza Vinyl Market at Kumharas. Browse stalls selling records while DJs spin all-vinyl sets against the backdrop of one of the island's best sunset spots. Live painting, street food and cocktails add to the laid-back atmosphere, with proceeds supporting the Project Equilibrium charity.
Sol Post a s'Oli Fest
Every Sat throughout August, from 20:00
Every Saturday evening, the open-air Auditorium Caló de s'Oli hosts this free concert series organised by Sant Josep Town Hall. Blending local talent with established national acts, the programme spans Rock, Jazz, Pop and more, with food trucks and a drinks bar creating a laid-back atmosphere as the concerts begin at sunset.
Open-air cinema
Few experiences capture the spirit of an Ibiza summer quite like an open-air cinema. Throughout August, films are shown beneath the stars in scenic settings across the island, offering everything from family favourites to classic and contemporary titles in a relaxed, alfresco atmosphere. Retro-design Hotel Mongibello (20 August), the beach at Cala Llonga resort (9 and 23 August) and luxury boutique hotel and spa Las Mimosas (7 and 21 August) are all taking part.
Alternatively every Tuesday, to get away from the heat, head to the popular old-fashioned cinema Regio in San Antonio to see films in English.
Night Markets
Of all the night markets, Las Dalias' night market offers the most variety. Every Monday, Tuesday and Sunday more than 100 stalls showcase handmade jewellery, fashion, art and crafts, while food stands, bars and acoustic live music encourage visitors to linger long after sunset. Sunday evenings are especially lively, with DJs performing on the terrace before the night continues at Akasha.
A smaller alternative to the island's better-known markets, San Rafael's weekly Thursday evening craft market showcases authentic Ibizan craftsmanship, alongside live demonstrations and family-friendly activities in the village square.
Friday evenings there is also a evening artisan market in Santa Gertrudis with live music on the church square. A nice way to start the weekend.
