After two years with no fiestas, Ibiza town retakes its yearly celebrations with a programme that combines music, tradition, modernity, sports and activities for children and teenagers. Main celebrations are 5 of August, the day of the Virgin Mary, to honour Nuestra Señora de las Nieves (Our Lady of the Snows) and 8 of August, San Ciriaco, the patron Saint of Ibiza Town.
From Saturday 30 July to 15 August you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of activites throughout the city.
These are the highlights for this years' edition:
- Sunday 31 July, from 19:30 h - parade of traditional carts, traditional dances and artisan gathering in Vara de Rey.
- Monday 1 August, from 18:30 h - games and workshops for children with Cachirulo, at Antonio Albert i Nieto square.
- Friday 5 August - holy mass to honour Virgin Mary at 19:00 h at the cathedral of Santa Maria, and rock and folk concert by Mägo de Oz at 22:00 h at Reina Sofía park.
- Monday 8 August, all day - Concert by Banda Ciutat d'Eivissa at 10:00 h, followed by the procession to the chapel of Sant Ciriac a holy mass and traditional dances. From 18:30 h, the classic free public afternoon snack and paella in Puig des Molins (Google maps). At midnight, the fantastic firework display from Ibiza's port.
- Monday 15 August, midnight - Drone light show, at Figueretes promenade.
