Where: Ibiza Town (Eivissa)
Ibiza town, the capital of the island, hosts its annual fiestas with a diverse programme that combines music, tradition, modernity, sports, parties, entertainment, and activities for all ages, in addition to its traditional and spectacular fireworks display.
The main celebrations are on the 5 of August, the day of the Virgin Mary, and on the 8 of August, San Ciriaco, the patron saint of Ibiza Town.
The highlight is always the big firework display in the port of Ibiza Town at midnight on 8 August - holidaymakers come in buses to see the spectacle, and many island residents also come to town. Here are some recommendations of places that offer a great view of the display.
Around these two main dates, events take place for several weeks; find the programme of the Festes de la Terra Eivissa here.
