The beach of Figueretas is a well-made, centrally-located beach, divided into smaller parts by rocky piers, creating great areas for children to play in by day and convenient piers to fish from in the evening. The whole bay is bordered by a palm fringed promenade, which has been completely modernised for summer 2019.

During the summer Figueretas beach is busy with holidaymakers and locals alike. Small ferries go to Ibiza Town and Playa den Bossa and there are a good many boat trips that go from here, including those that go to Formentera.

In the evening the promenade comes alive with people strolling along, the setting up of small stands selling jewellery and souvenirs. You will also see many happy diners enjoying their dinner on outside terraces watching other people pass by.

It is only a 15-minute-walk to the centre of Ibiza Town and there are good views of the old walled city of Dalt Vila from the southern end. To the south Figueretas merges into the popular resort of Playa d'en Bossa.

There is a good choice of bars and restaurants all within easy reach either on the seafront promenade or along the road above it. The restaurants on the promenade offer beautiful terraces with stunning views of the whole bay; in some you can be sitting with the water only a few metres down below.

Most offer a choice of international and Mediterranean cuisine, from tasty breakfasts to lunch and dinner. Some of the restaurants offer more specialised cuisine like Japanese, Italian and tapas.

There is a diverse selection of hotels and apartments, many located right on the sea or only a few steps from it. From high-end luxury to great value budget accommodation, this resort caters for all. It's very popular with the LGBTQ audience too, meaning a lot of gay-friendly accommodation abounds.

A great alternative for groups and families is a private villa with its own pool and garden, which can offer terrific value on the per-person cost. Check out our selection of villas near Ibiza Town to see what's available near here.
