Where: San Juan, Ibiza
The beautiful village of San Lorenzo, on the road between Ibiza Town and San Juan, celebrates its patron saint's day with a month-long programme of activities for all the family including magic shows, children's parties, live music, cart parades and more.
On the big day, 10 August, the locals commemorate Saint Lawrence with a holy mass, carts, traditional folk dancing and performances of live music.
Here are some highlights:
1 August
- 21:00 – Eivissa Daurada (San Lorenzo village square)
A unique open-air concert lit up by candles, where local musicians perform film soundtracks, classical masterpieces and original compositions in one of the festival's most atmospheric events.
7 August - Children's Festival
- 18:30 – Water inflatables, workshops and foam party
- 21:30 – Family Magic Show
8 August
- 20:30 - Concert by Arredefolk
- 22:30 – Fito & Fitipaldis Tribute Concert
The band 'Ojos de Serpiente' performs the greatest hits of one of Spain's best-known rock bands.
10 August – Patron Saint's Day
- 17:00 - Classical Music Concert (San Lorenzo Church)
Musicians from the Sant Joan Music School perform a special concert featuring guitar and cello before the evening celebrations begin. - 18:30 - Solemn Mass (San Lorenzo Church) The village celebrates its patron saint with a traditional religious service.
- 19:30 - Traditional cart parade and folk dance (San Lorenzo Church)
- 21:00 - Live Concert: Eribertho Cruz
- 23:00 - Live Concert: Esta Me La Sé
