Figueretas (Figueretes in Catalan) is a suburb of Ibiza Town, and a charming resort that attracts a wide spectrum of holidaymakers year-round.

Its close proximity to Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa (both a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk away) makes it suitable for people of all ages who want a well-catered destination, with easy access to other island hotspots.

Many bars, restaurants, apartments, and hotels line the picturesque stretch of promenade, which is often bustling with holidaymakers and residents who consider it their home.

Its easygoing nature makes it popular with couples and groups who want to enjoy a more relaxed location, while having the option to step out into the island's bustle whenever they wish.

The beach and promenade

Bordered by a long, palm-fringed promenade, the pretty central beach is divided into several smaller sections, each leading into the crystal-clear waters.

In the mornings, you’ll see many joggers making the most of the breezy walkway and outdoor gym stations that are dotted along the trail, whilst people sip coffee on the restaurant terraces.

During the daytime, families and groups fill the sands, relaxing on sun loungers, as small taxi boats ferry past and yachts bob within the bay. It's a tranquil and delightful scene that can be enjoyed from your beach towel or one of the pretty restaurant terraces.

In the evening, as the sun cools but the sea still sparkles, you’ll find some market stands lining the promenade, breathing a new bohemian vibe into it. Here you can splash your holiday cash, picking up lovely pieces of jewellery, clothes and holiday souvenirs.

It’s lovely to slowly stroll along here at night. In the early evening, you can stop off for cocktails and then take the walk into Ibiza Town or Playa d’en Bossa if you’re craving a little more of a buzzing atmosphere and a later night.

Restaurants and bars

All along the seafront promenade, many restaurants offer beautiful open terraces with dreamy sea views. Whether you’re here for breakfast, lunch or dinner, it's a scene that's hard not to be impressed by.

In the streets parallel to the promenade, you'll find many small, cosy restaurants with modern design and tasty food choices.

There’s much on offer, from traditional Spanish cuisine to Japanese and many varieties of Mediterranean fusion food. You can pick anything from fresh fish to homemade pizzas, and juicy burgers to healthy salad bowls. Many of the hotels, including the luxury ones, have great restaurants open to the public.

Ibiza Town has a vast range of incredible eateries if you’re looking for more options, as well as Playa d’en Bossa, which also has the added bonus of its luxurious beach club restaurants.

Nightlife

Should you be tempted to visit Ibiza's famous clubs, then the resort is a great place to begin your night out, with many of the restaurants and bars serving fantastic cocktail menus to get you in the mood.

Of course, the bars in the surrounding areas are only a short walk away, so you can pop in and try many different venues on the way to your dancefloor destination.

For day-to-night partying, head south to Playa d'en Bossa and check out the beautiful open-air festival-style club Ushuaïa Ibiza with its daytime events, which offer a great line-up of huge international artists.

To continue the night, its sister nightclub Hï Ibiza is just across the road. Voted the world's number one club by DJ Mag for several years in a row, its state-of-the-art shows and rotation of epic parties will keep you dancing until the early hours.

Alternatively, head north and you'll find yourself in the middle of Ibiza Town, with vibrant bars, delicious restaurants, and the fantastic fortified old town of Dalt Vila to explore.

Across the water from the centre of Ibiza Town, the marina area is home to the iconic club Pacha, the beautiful Chinois Ibiza and the showstopping Lío Ibiza. All bring an incredible variety of musical artists each night, and attract fun-loving crowds to join in the party.

Further into the island, Amnesia, [UNVRS] and Cova Santa are all fantastic venues, along with the clubs of San Antonio on the west coast of the island. There’s a lot to choose from!

If you plan on ticking one, or many more off your list, make sure to check our party calendar for all your club tickets.

Things to do

Figueretas is a fantastic base for exploring the island or getting active with a great choice of things to do nearby. You could see the beauty of the island and get off the beaten track by Jeep or quad bike.

You can also go further afield on some great daytime excursions, including the famous hippy market in Es Caná.

There are also many fantastic boat trips on offer, with some also going to the smaller but equally beautiful sister island of Formentera. If you just want to visit Formentera for a day trip, you can easily catch a ferry from the jetty down on the beach.

Accommodation

There is a fantastic selection of hotels and apartments throughout Figueretas. Many line the beautiful promenade with lovely views out over the bay, just a step away from the beach.

Part of the resort is in an elevated position: this means terrific views of the sea, especially in the places that have roof terraces.

From boutique and four-star hotels with massage and wellness facilities to more budget-friendly, comfortable self-catering and lively adult-only options, everyone is well catered for.

The resort is also very popular with the LGBTQ community, and you’ll find many gay-friendly accommodations catering to the community here.

Getting around

If you want to explore the island’s cosmopolitan capital, then Ibiza Town is just a 15-minute walk away. Playa d’en Bossa and its buzzing beach and nightlife can be reached in a similar time.

However, if you’d prefer not to walk, there is a bus that runs between both resorts and very reasonably priced taxis. Be aware that in high season, they will also be in high demand.

Small ferries depart from the jetty in the centre of the promenade, taking you to both Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa.

If you like the idea of exploring alone and on your own schedule, then car or scooter hire could be the best bet for your trip.
