Playa d'en Bossa (Platja d'en Bossa in Catalan) is one of Ibiza's most popular and lively resorts. Its easy reach to the airport and Ibiza Town makes it a popular choice for clubbers and groups seeking the day-to-night appeal, with everything on your doorstep.
Home to the longest beach on the island, upon this sandy shoreline rest many stylish and fun beach bars. It's a buzzing beach where last night's clubbers grab the morning's rays and groups enjoy the vibrant atmosphere before their night out.
The main strip, which runs parallel to the beach, houses many great bars, restaurants, boutiques, and a high-end shopping area, along with two of the island's most renowned clubs, Ushuaïa Ibiza and Hï Ibiza.
Playa d’en Bossa is a resort that really does offer it all.
The beach and beach clubs
By day, this long stretch of fine golden sand is alive with holidaymakers, all enjoying the beautiful sea, lively energy, and chic beach clubs.
The beach sweeps for 2.7km, meaning there is a vast amount of space to either place your towel and relax, or enjoy one of the many restaurant terraces and comfortable sunbeds the beach clubs offer.
Choosing to spend the day in one of the beautiful beach clubs can add not just comfort but an extra touch of luxury to your day. These are particularly popular with groups, as the large Balinese-style beds can accommodate several people, all keen to top up their tans and enjoy the attentive service.
You’ll often hear music in the distance, as many have DJs playing everything from chill-out Ambient Music to sing-along Vocal House.
The food is often healthy and fresh, and comes with an excellent choice of cocktails to keep you refreshed throughout the day. At night, people move inside, where DJs continue to play and people dine, before heading onto the many bars and clubs within the resort.

Clubs
Playa d’en Bossa is a clubber’s heaven, with two of the biggest clubs on the island in residence. Ushuaïa Ibiza is an incredible daytime venue, where revellers party around the spectacular open-air stage.
Sister club Hï Ibiza sits just across the road and features some of the biggest music artists in the world, until the early hours. Their popularity has helped cement the resort's top status as a clubbers' paradise.
Alongside, many smaller clubbing venues play everything from Urban to House Music, such as SWAG Ibiza, Baloo Ibiza, and Playa Soleil - once the iconic Bora Bora Beach Club. The Hard Rock Hotel also hosts events, with a large outdoor dancefloor that attracts locals and holidaymakers alike.
For clubbing a little further afield, although easy to reach in a taxi or on the Discobus, the other super-clubs, Pacha, [UNVRS], or Amnesia are only a short distance away.

Bars
Of course, before hitting the dancefloor, you will need somewhere to get the night started. There's a great choice of bars with open terraces that run all the way along the strip, many with DJs and vibrant atmospheres that draw in an international crowd.
Great for pre-club drinks, and for the evenings that you're not up for a big night, but still want a lively atmosphere to enjoy with friends. There is a great selection of bars, some themed, with sports screens and neon-lit dancefloors, or large outside terraces to people watch.
Here you can meet new friends from all over the world, join tables, and hit the dancefloor that night or the beach the next day. It's an open and friendly crowd here, you never know, you could make holiday friends that last a lifetime.
The bars become particularly busy at night, as people from across the island descend on the area to have pre-drinks before heading onto the dancefloors. As you’ll also see in the clubs, it's a diverse range of ages here, with people of every era encouraged to enjoy the party.
Shopping
Open throughout the day and well into the night, there’s a great variety of shops to peruse. If you’re seeking a new outfit for the beach or your next night out, then there are many clothing boutiques selling shoes, sunglasses, and all the latest fashions.
There’s also a fantastic hippy market that runs every evening during the summer months, situated along a bustling pedestrianised area in the resort's centre. Here, there are more independent brands with clothing, jewelley and holiday souvenirs to take home.
For high-end clothing, the newly built Ibiza Gallery, just next door to The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel at the southern end of the strip, is the island's new premier shopping location.
The brands here are at the very high end of the scale, as are their prices, and are for those wanting to pack a little luxury into their suitcase before they fly home.
You’ll also find many small supermarkets throughout the resort, so you can always keep your fridge stocked and easily pick up refreshments for the beach.
Accommodation
With just a ten-minute drive from the airport or Ibiza Town, Playa d'en Bossa is quite rightly one of the top summer resorts both on Ibiza and in Europe.
It's very popular with those on weekend getaways who want to be in the action every night, with clubs and restaurants within a short stroll of their accommodation.

No matter where your hotel is, the great thing about the size of this resort is that you are never far from the dance floor or the sea.
If you want to save your money for clubbing rather than sleeping, there's a great choice of economically priced apartments across the entire resort. Many of these keep the party going through the day and into the night, with some more tucked away, where you'll get more privacy and peace.
Families are also well catered for, with hotels that are a little more tranquil located at the southern or northern ends of the beach.
If stylish and luxurious is your thing, then you will find a great range of both popular chains to cool boutique hotels. Most of these have great facilities, and there is a good selection aimed at adults only.
For complete privacy, where you decide the tempo, you could rent a private holiday villa nearby. When travelling in a group, you might be surprised at the per-person price, as often it is very affordable.
