One of Ibiza's most beloved and longest-running parties, Namaste marks its 28th anniversary at Las Dalias this week.
On Wednesday 10 September, these authentic Ibizan institutions dance together once again.
Located at the former hippy commune in the alternatively-minded village of San Carlos in Ibiza's north, Las Dalias has served as the perfect backdrop to Namaste for the best part of three decades. Both venue and party are inseparably intertwined.
We cannot envisage one without the other. With its bohemian nature, rebellious streak and adjacent market, there could not be a better host for the liberal and spiritual gathering.
Unlike its noisy, headline-stealing counterparts in the south, Namaste is built on community and a signature vibe - and doesn't rely on the cult of DJ worship to sell tickets. That's not to say you won't experience some incredible music, both of the electronic and acoustic variety.
Regulars playing include organisers We The People and Joselito & Marco Tegui's weekly ritual, their self-styled "live decompression set".
Outside names playing during the special birthday edition include Al Varo, Playroots and Talkual. Plus, there are performances by Artco and Circoclownfamily with visuals by Hypnotica.
Doors open in the garden from 19:00, where the whole family is invited. Dance barefoot by the fire pit, peruse the stalls and barter to find a bargain or tuck into some street food from one of the local vendors. Later, we continue inside Akasha club from 23:00 until late, which is adult-only.
This week, the free entry period for island residents is extended for the full four hours of outdoor action. That means those living or working here can enter for free between 19:00 and 23:00 (usually 19:00 to 21:00).
To qualify, you will need proof of residence - either a work contract, tenancy agreement or government-issued photo ID card, such as a TIE, with your current address.
You can't get much more genuine than Namasté. Long may it continue, until its thirtieth year and well beyond.
