For the past year, I've been working behind the scenes with Ibiza Spotlight's clubbing team, creating social media content remotely while following the island's ever-evolving nightlife from afar. Earlier this month, everything changed.
I was invited to Ibiza for a working stay, swapping my laptop for the dancefloor and stepping into a new role as a clubbing writer. Instead of capturing nights through short-form content, I've been immersing myself in the island's clubs, interviewing DJs, experiencing residencies first-hand and telling the stories behind the music.

Supporting my colleague Lissy during her recent set in Hï Ibiza's Club Room
When I was asked to compile my own staff picks for July, I felt incredibly honoured. I'll admit, there was also a little pressure. Anyone who has worked alongside Steve, Lissy or Jo knows their knowledge of Ibiza's music scene runs deep. This felt like a real vote of confidence.
Putting this list together, I wanted it to reflect the artists I'm excited to see, as well as what I've come to appreciate during my time on the island. One thing that has stood out is the strength of the women shaping today's electronic music scene.
Having the past few weeks supporting my DJ friends including Lissy Lübeck, Siân Owen and Shae Reid, it felt only right to champion some incredible female talent alongside some of the island's biggest names. With that in mind, here are the five DJ sets I'll be making time for.

Tre Reynolds | CUE | Eden
Sunday 5 July
Every season there are a handful of DJs who quietly gather momentum. For me, Tre Reynolds is one of the class of 2026.
His groove-led approach to House and Tech has earned him a glowing reputation, while his production Nothing Hurts has become one of the tracks I've had on repeat recently. It's one of those records that never seems to lose its impact, whether at home or echoing out across a packed dancefloor.
CUE has quickly established itself as one of Eden's standout Sunday parties, making it the perfect setting to catch Reynolds as his profile continues to rise.

Dennis Ferrer | Music On Daytime | Destino Five Ibiza
Thursday 9 July
Every Ibiza season has one artist I'm determined to catch. Dennis Ferrer is that name this year. I can still remember hearing The Cure & The Cause on the radio back in 2007. It quickly became my favourite track. For years afterwards, I'd find myself asking DJs to play it whenever I was out.
Almost two decades later, that feeling hasn't changed.
Watching Ferrer perform at Destino Five Ibiza feels particularly fitting. Few DJs move between Soulful House, deep grooves and driving rhythms as naturally as he does, while his infectious enthusiasm behind the decks is impossible to miss. Constantly smiling, dancing and feeding off the crowd's energy, he looks like he enjoys playing as much as the people in front of him.
Set against Destino Five's open-air backdrop for Marco Carola presents Music On Daytime, this has all the ingredients for one of those classic Ibiza afternoons that stays with you long after summer ends.
Go if: you appreciate timeless House music, effortless DJing and artists who genuinely love being behind the decks

Sven Väth | ANTS | Ushuaïa Ibiza
Saturday 11 July
Some bookings simply make you curious. Sven Väth is synonymous with marathon sets and underground dancefloors. Seeing him advertised for ANTS inside Ushuaïa Ibiza's huge open-air arena feels like one of July's most intriguing combinations.
ANTS continues to evolve every season, balancing established legends with newer names. Väth's appearance promises to bring something a little different to the colony. Seeing one of electronic music's true pioneers perform beneath the Playa d'en Bossa sky isn't an opportunity I'd pass.
Go if: you want to experience an Ibiza icon in a completely different setting

Alisha | Unlísh | Cova Santa
Monday 13 July
One of my favourite things about this season has been watching more female artists take centre stage.
Alisha's Unlísh is one of the freshest additions to Ibiza's calendar, perfectly reflecting that shift. Blending House and Techno with a close-knit community, it offers something that feels authentic while encouraging genuine connection on the dancefloor.
Cova Santa's hillside setting only adds to the experience, particularly as sunset gives way to night. After spending time with inspiring women across the industry this month, supporting another female-led concept felt like an easy decision.

S.A.S.S. (Saoirse, Moxie, Peach & Shanti Celeste) | Pikes Presents | 528 Ibiza
Tuesday 28 July
This may be the date I'm looking forward to the most.
S.A.S.S. isn't a manufactured supergroup. It's four close friends whose chemistry behind the decks has become one of underground dance music's best-kept secrets. Individually, Saoirse, Moxie, Peach and Shanti Celeste (pictured above) have built outstanding reputations.
Together, they create something playful, spontaneous and full of personality.
After following the buzz surrounding their appearances at festivals including Love International and Houghton, catching them playing all day long at 528 Ibiza for Pikes Presents feels like one of those opportunities you simply shouldn't miss.
Heidi's long-awaited return to Ibiza only makes the line-up even stronger.
Go if: you appreciate DJs who play for the love of music as much as the crowd in front of them
Choosing only five sets from an Ibiza calendar packed with world class line-ups was never going to be easy.
I hope this list conveys the variety that makes the island special. Legendary names, rising talent, unforgettable locations and a growing wave of female artists all deserve their place. I hope one of these recommendations finds its way onto your itinerary.
Most importantly, I hope you discover a few moments that stay with you long after July comes to an end. See you on a dancefloor somewhere.
Tickets to all five picks - as well as everything else - can be found on our party calendar.
