Ibiza club rewind | Pacha Ibiza

The best sets from years gone by.

Sculpted in the vision of founder Ricardo Urgell, Pacha Ibiza has been doing the business since 1973. Over the last five decades, its cherries logo have become a symbol of sophistication and liberation.

Today, the former finca and the rest of the Pacha empire are under the watchful eye of the affable new hands-on CEO, Aloki Batra. Dance music legend Pete Tong also sits on the board of directors.

The building has undergone expansion and structural changes, but still radiates the hippy nature of its origins.

Our Ibiza club rewind series looks back at some of Pacha's key contributors in recent years. These are sets that capture the vibe of the club and its beautiful clientele.

BLOND:ISH presents Abracadabra (2025)

Wednesday 21 May

We start off with one of the Pacha Group's new intake of residents, BLOND:ISH. Hard to pigeon-hole musically (and stubbornly refusing to be typecast in every other way too), Canadian free-spirit Vivie-ann is a hoot.

From her hug cam live-feed to her less-than-conventional use of duct tape, she has her fingerprints all over Wednesday nights. It's a party only somebody as alternate as her could get away with. BLOND:ISH is back for another twelve week run of Abracadabra from mid-May through to the end of July. She also pops up on night two of the club's Opening Weekend.

Above, you'll hear music from Redlight, Ronnie Spiteri and Sean Doron.

Roger Sanchez (2024)

Saturday 12 October

Pacha might be under new management, but that's not to say that the Five Group don't understand the history of the brand. Nowhere is this clearer, than the love and adulation shown towards Roger Sanchez in recent years. The longtime Pacha-affiliate has been welcomed back into the fold.

There's good reason. Long before their names were added above the door, current CEO Aloki Batra and Chairman Kabir Muchandani used to party at Release Yourself back in the day.

Continuing his legacy under the cherries, the S-Man steps into the driving seat at Flower Power this summer. You can catch him every week in peak-season from 13 June to 29 August, while he'll also pop up elsewhere at other resident's parties.

The set includes music from HUGEL, Michel Cleis, Federico Scavo and PAWSA.

Solomun + 1 (2014)

Sunday 17 August

In 2014, the Solomun juggernaut was still amassing fans and finding momentum. Although the party was well on its way to attaining superstar status, few could have predicted the level of success it would find.

Relive an early incarnation of the party, where German duo andhim were Solomun's guests.

An hour of andhim, followed by an hour of vintage Solomun, containing music by Matthew Dear, Fur Coat and Adriatique.

Fast-forward

Dubai-based owner FIVE Holdings has started to ring the changes as we head into the 2026 season, most notably during the midweek programme which has undergone a considerable overhaul.

Long term fans needn't worry, as the club's established nights of Marco Carola presents Music On (Fridays), Flower Power/Robin Schulz (both Satudays) and Solomun +1 (Sundays) all return. Meanwhile, Sonny Fodera is back for a second season-worth of Mondays. All five of those make an incredibly strong backbone, by anyone's definition.

Things are a bit more convoluted elsewhere in the week, especially on Tuesdays, which has month-long stints from the likes of FLOW, Vintage Culture and Gordo, as well as other artists who dip in-and-out with doubles - and still several dates left to fill. Who's your money on?

BLOND:ISH and Mau P split Wednesdays down the middle with Abracadabra and Baddest Behaviour respectively, just as they did last year. Finally, Purple Disco Machine is the new authority steering long-running Pure Pacha, but again, there are gaps remaining on Thursdays.

The season gets underway over a bumper Opening Weekend featuring Marco Carola (24 April), Solomun (25 April) and ANOTR (26 April) - pretty blockbuster, even by Pacha's lofty standards.

There's also a series of pre-season dates leading us up the start of the weekly residencies, including favourites such as KEINEMUSIK, Loco Dice, Dixon, Miguelle & Tons, Kölsch, Mayan Warrior and a whole lot more. Plenty there to keep all tastes happy.
