Pacha has colossal plans for her fiftieth year and they all start to come to fruition after the Grand Opening Party on 28 April. Before the weekly 2023 residencies begin, Pacha fills the interim with a series of pre-season warm-ups featuring some of the best underground DJs on the planet, sometimes playing extended or all night long sets.
Past years have seen the likes of Loco Dice, Mano Le Tough, Sven Väth and Hot Since 82 all tasked with these dates. This year is equally as decorated. WhoMadeWho, Jan Blomqvist and Joplyn get the ball rolling on 30 April, before Ilario Alicante steps up with Ben Sterling on 4 May. Sebastian Gamboa's Vintage then takes the helm on 5 May.
Dixon knows all about Pacha, having held residence throughout the summer of 2019 with Transmoderna. He's back on Saturday 6 May, bringing Innervisions protege Trikk along with him.
After wowing at a similar one-off last year, Adriatique are back on Sunday 14 May. X also features Innellea and Deer Jade. Passion Beat is on Tuesday 16 May with Mano Le Tough, Jennifer Cardini and The Drifter, before Wednesday 17 May sees Parisian underground trifecta Apollonia headline with Traumer and Anthea.
Following that the keinemusik collective are in town for an all night long. &Me, Adam Port and Rampa take centre stage on Sunday 21 May.
As you can see, this is a landmark year in every sense of the word. Pacha pulling no punches. Let's get stuck in and make those cherries shine.
