How to have the best Ibiza stag or hen party

The perfect spot to say adios to the single life.

Why Ibiza?

That Ibiza is a great place to party for your stag or hen do is not in doubt: the White Isle attracts party-loving people from all over the world. Choosing it as a fun location to say adios to the single life could be one of your best decisions.

There are plenty of bars and let's face it, that's a big part of a hen or stag. Being on the planet of partying is the biggest cherry on the cake: a whole world of super-clubs and boatloads of parties await your wild night. There are bars for all budgets and styles, eating out is easy and on top of that there are sensational sunsets, a glimmering turquoise sea and the most chilled vibe in the Mediterranean.

If you are the one in charge of organising, read on for a whole selection of tips and advice to help you design the perfect Ibiza stag or hen event.

Arriving

Once you get here, you need to get to where you are going. As you're with a group, why not skip the taxi queue and arrange for a private transfer. It works out not much more than a cab and will help to get the trip off to a good start, travelling VIP style to your accommodation.

For the person organising the whole shebang, pre-booking a transfer means prices can be accounted for in the budget too, so everyone knows what they'll be spending.

If you are going to be visiting various places on the the island, you can hire a car and pick it up at the airport. Check out our low-down of all forms of transport on Ibiza.

Where to stay

Girls will love the glamour of the Cubanito

The two liveliest resorts are Playa d'en Bossa and San Antonio and both places are more than geared up for a stag or hen do, with lots happening near the beaches, endless bars and great nightlife. Having everything on your doorstep is a big bonus as you can get to most places easily on foot.

Where you sleep and relax could be a main part of the trip and on Ibiza there is a wide choice of places. In recent years, adults-only hotels have come into their own with some truly great pads. In San Antonio, the girls might want to try the Cubanito, for glamour, an amazing rooftop and even regular Latin salsa dancing classes.

For a budget option, the Florencio Hostal is ideal with rooms sleeping up to four.

Sunset drinks before heading out at the Cubanito Ibiza Suites

Over in Playa d'en Bossa there are more pool parties, heaps of bars and even a hair stylist at the Ibiza Jet Apartments. A more sedate stay can be had at the Tropicana Ibiza Suites, which also offers access to the evening DJ sessions at Santos Coast Club a short walk away.

For more ideas, see our articles on hotels that go from high-end, to budget in both San Antonio places and Playa d'en Bossa accommodation.

A villa could be perfect for the whole group

If you are in a big group and don't mind doing a few more things for yourself, a villa might be a good option. Villas are great for groups and you can save money on food and drinks. Hiring a car is essential as most houses are in the countryside.

If you do choose a villa, have yourself the most fantastic at home fun with Ibiza Karaoke who will turn up to sort it all for you. You'll have all you need to sing your heart out plus disco lights and a dressing up box full of glittery costumes. There's even have a host to make the night really go off with a bang.

Where to party

F*** me, what a stonking night out!

Ibiza is a place to party, some might say it's THE place, so you won't be short on where to go. What you choose depends on what your hens and stags like and our party calendar can be your first port of call. As there's a bunch of you, go for parties with banging tunes and/or vocals to leave a grin on all your friends' faces.

For a daytime fun fiesta, O Beach brings both glamour and exhilaration to pool parties and you could be basking with the Jet Set on your own VIP bed. Ibiza Rocks Hotel's pool parties are also something of legend with hosts like the mega-talented Craig David.

San Antonio's Sunset Strip is where to head for classy bars, incredible sunsets and superb cocktails. Stags (or hens) should definitely head to Linekers Ibiza, where you can hire an exclusive VIP booth with bottle service for the evening. It's got a great party atmosphere by night with DJ sets and it's a just short walk to San Antonio's super-clubs too.

Living it up is easy on Ibiza

When staying here, a trip to one of its a super-clubs should be on the cards and you'll want to go for a party like Defected at Eden for upbeat, vocal house or try WNDRLND for some top entertainment and a profusion of happy sounds. You could get down and clean at Es Paradis at the water party, Fiesta del Agua or splash on some colour at Ibiza's first ever paint party GLOW and show off your rainbow look.

In Ibiza's biggest resort, Playa d'en Bossa, the choice of places to wet your whistle are legion. From the famous Tantra bar, where lots convene, to the classy setting of Dunes Ibiza, where you should try its two-for-one cocktail deals.

Classy beach clubs like Beachouse and Nassau Beach Club offer high-end glamour or for more back to basics raving, Bora Bora should be on your list. Ushuaïa is of course an incredible spot to go to from mid afternoon to soak up the atmosphere all the way to midnight. Ants is definitely worth a try for the stage performances.

For something completely different, Children of the 80s is a musical blast through that decade and you can dress up like Madonna or Rick Astley. F*** ME I'M FAMOUS, now at Hï Ibiza will raise the tempo or try Glitterbox for some disco jewels.

If you are in Ibiza Town, you should definitely dig into the famous pre-club bars on the harbour front. Calle de la Virgen, the gay street is just an explosion of energy and that's not just for the crazy club parades. Another tip would be Flower Power at Pacha with a '60s dress up theme built in. Cabaret at Lío is a top class night with a show packed with performances.

Don't forget that the discobus takes you to all clubs on the island through the night too, so you won't miss out on what's happening at Amnesia and Privilege.

Jumping onto a boat party gives drinks and club entries thrown in

Finally, and for the ultimate night out if you have the cash, book one of the clubs' VIP tables. It IS a special occasion and you can skip the big queues and get treated like kings and queens.

Remember boat parties too, where you'll get drinks included and entry to one or two clubs with most companies.

And the rest...

There are plenty of great experiences you can have to for your farewell to singledom. Here we present some ideas.

If you want to cruise around in retro style, you might want to hire some cool classic Ford Mustangs. Get picked up at the airport, opt for a driver to take you around and know you can park easily in VIP car parks. If it's the "wow" factor you want, you need this in your life.

For a top outing, charter a boat for the day. Think free-flowing drinks, some top tunes, the sea, sun and you. When you split the cost, it's very affordable. Many organised boat trips are on offer too if you can't quite stretch to that.

A note, on responsibility when you come. We know you probably want to let loose and why not? Just make sure it's not to the detriment of everyone else and avoid leaving your junk behind. Basically, love Ibiza and it will love you back.

So with that groundwork now done, it's now down to you to have the best, most rip-roaring time of your life. Think you can do that?
