Wax Da Jam to close season 2017 with all stars special

The original crew to assemble for the last blowout of 2017.

Wax Da Jam is closing in this week to give us an absolute whopper of a closing party, and for this spirited occasion we're going back to its roots to revel in how it all began.

On Thursday 14 September Wax Da Jam resident, Nightmares On Wax, is rallying together the original crew for one big jam session to see off season eight. The Wax Da Jam concept was born with an ambition to incorporate DJs and MCs with drummers and percussionists, and the fact that it's been built over eight seasons with very little promotion speaks for itself.

In the mind of Nightmares On Wax, Thursday's season closing event will be one big carnival and guests in assistance are Shovell on percussion, Wolfgang Haffner on drums, Ricky Ranking on vocals and Negghead in the mix. Meanwhile on the Terrace, we'll be having some of Manchester maverick Kazim Kazim Kazim.

As an ambassador for charitable organisation Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, Nightmares On Wax is running 2017 under the motto ‘season of giving.' As with June and July's sessions, 10% of profits will be going to the charity with the aim of building a well in Africa or India.

Wax Da Jam welcomes any age from 16 and over and the party happens inside and out, with good food, market stalls and much more from 9pm to 5am.
