David Guetta crowned world's number one DJ for record sixth time

The French super-producer is victorious again as he preps for his [UNVRS] closing party.

Readers of DJ Mag have crowned David Guetta the world's number one in this year's Top 100 DJs Awards poll.

The French super-producer was victorious again, as he collected his gong in a star-studied live ceremony at [UNVRS] last night. In winning the 2026 accolade, he claims a record sixth title.

He wasn't the only victor on the night.

Other talents from The Night League (TNL) to be recognised for their achievements included Indira Paganotto (highest ranking Psy DJ), Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (DJ group), Armin van Buuren (Trance) and FISHER (House), while Josh Baker was the highest new entry.

Recipients of industry-voted awards went to Luciano for outstanding contribution and Anastazja as a future star to keep an eye on. Well done to all involved.

Even though music and any enjoyment of it is very much subjective, these annual awards always serve as an accurate barometer of what's popular - it's publicly voted after all. Whether you personally consider yourself a fan or not, there's little denying Guetta's widespread appeal.

Very few DJs can command two weekly residencies with a total capacity that exceeds 10,000, but he can. Respect where it's due.

Now, Guetta locks sights on his [UNVRS] Closing Party, which takes place on Friday 9 October.

Joining him are Meduza and Kevin de Vries, who play back-to-back, KOROLOVA, Volkoder and recent studio collaborator Jast, whom he released new single Mariô with on 2 October.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here or by visiting our party calendar.
