The beach

Just a few minutes drive from Aguas Blancas, Es Figueral is not unlike its more bohemian neighbour in terms of stunning scenery. The sea and surrounding cliffs are equally impressive, but the ambience is totally different.

Here you will find several all-inclusive hotels and a much more resort-like atmosphere, with many more visitors than locals (Spanish, Portuguese and Italian) and many more facilities, shops and bars. It's also much more accessible to visitors with limited mobility, with disabled access and public bathrooms.

The beach itself offers an expanse of lovely soft sand backed by rocky cliffs, with shallow waters that are perfect for children, and views across to the islet of Tagomago, which is privately owned.

There are numerous rocks in the water, some submerged and others that stand high above the surface. The largest one serves as the jetty for the ferry that runs to Santa Eulalia, Ibiza Town and Formentera. To the far left of the beach, some people practise nudism.

Spotlight tip: There is a pleasant walk along a trail above the beach that skirts the cliffs to the next beach along the coast, Aguas Blancas. You might also like to catch the tourist train rolling through the picturesque landscapes of the North, which leaves Es Figueral once a week or take the ferry to Formentera to enjoy a day on Ibiza's idyllic sister island.

Beach bars and restaurants

There are some restaurants and bars on the road leading to the beach and in the hotel complex next to it.
