The beach

The tiny resort of Cala San Vicente (Cala Sant Vicent in Catalan) offers a curve of golden sand with clear waters, backed by a promenade. The beautiful beach is very wide, so even when busy in high season there's always space to be found.

Cala San Vicente is particularly impressive because of its unbelievably brilliant azure water, and the spectacular clifftop lookout from the southern approaching road from which to view it.

Palm trees are dotted along the small traffic-free promenade with beachside restaurants and cafes. This beach can get windy at times, and the sea a little choppy, but it is often all the more beautiful for that.

The seabed is sandy near the shores; further in, you'll find interesting rock formations that are perfect for snorkelling. Different to most other beaches on the island, it gets deeper quickly, which makes the water wonderfully cool even in the hottest month of August.

Cala San Vicente is frequented by an international crowd: lots of young people, families, couples and the elderly, as it's easily accessible. On the weekends it gets busier, as the locals also love this beach.

Beach bars and restaurants

There are some bars and restaurants along the promenade and directly on the beach. You will find more upmarket, beautifully decorated beach restaurants as well as traditional Spanish ones that are less expensive.

Alternatively, get some snacks from the small supermarket located directly on the promenade. And after a hot beach day, seek out the ice cream parlour offering a nice range of tasty homemade ice cream.

Nearby accommodation

There is a range of hotel options just behind the beach, or alternatively there are several beautiful Ibiza holiday villas nearby.
