"Here is part of my closing session mix which was on the 12th October warning up for the legendary Groove Armada. We went out with a serious bang!

"Thank you to all who were part of this brilliant season." - Andy Baxter

Andy Baxter is a DJ with the innate ability to read any dance floor. There is no finer example than his home base of Pacha, Ibiza, where he has covered every genre of music over his ten-year stint as year-round resident and international touring artist. From Balearic sounds, hip-hop, disco and rare groove to deep, melodic tech house, 2012 saw an increase in demand for his main room sets, warming up for Defected, Cadenza, All Gone Pete Tong and Subliminal. Andy's constantly evolving technical skills led to a role as host of the Pioneer Lab on the rooftop terrace, demonstrating the latest equipment to visiting international artists. Additional residencies include a fifth season with the legendary 'We Love' Sundays at Space, season number six with iconic Ibiza sunset institution Café Mambo, plus a twice weekly residency at high-end beach club El Chiringuito and on-island resident duties for luxury and VIP event specialists The Shop.

After his 180 gigs in Ibiza last summer alone, it is difficult to find a harder working DJ in the game. His uncanny ability to be able to deliver the right groove from sunset to sunrise and from beach to Nightclub have earned Andy the award for the Best Ibiza DJ and the prestigious Ibiza DJ Awards' in 2012. An unrelenting passion for new music also scored Baxter the enviable role of A&R scout for seminal label 'Defected', after head honcho Simon Dunmore spotted his ear for new talent in 2010.

His extensive musical knowledge and constantly evolving technical skills have seen him tour the globe numerous times over and after rediscovering his passion for playing records, Baxter's own monthly event in Ibiza, The Vinyl Fix was born. Andy has embarked on multiple new studio productions and he continues to present his radio shows of various mediums such as Ibiza Sonica and Resident Advisor. The off season will see Baxter touring America, Australia, Asia and South Africa.
