A Case of Mistaken Identity

An Ibiza Hotel had its first guest this week, unexpectedly early

An Ibiza Hotel had its first guest this week, unexpectedly early, in fact a week before it opened! When cleaners turned up for work on Monday morning they found the main and two other doors in the hotel broken and a 40 year old British man fast asleep in a first floor room, smelling of drink and very much the worse for wear.

Police have pieced together what they believe to be the events of the early hours the morning when the man, presumably heading home in a drunken state to his hotel in San Antonio Bay, mistook the closed hotel for his own and kicked the locked doors in to get to his 'room.'

He was fined over €1600 for the offence and ordered to pay another €1600 to repair and clean the damage. When asked why he did it, he replied that he was cold.
