Gosh, it has been difficult keeping this under our hat (apologies to everyone we had to bat away asking - it was so hush-hush, we practically made all staff sign NDAs!) But the wait is over. We are now in a position to reveal the plans for Ibiza Spotlight's 50th Anniversary Party.
Alongside theHUB and our collaborator Hippy House, we're extending the season by an extra weekend.
Our fiftieth takes place on Saturday 17 October - and, together, we've secured arguably the best location on the entire island...
Between 18:00 and midnight (exact times TBA), we'll be taking over the bastion Baluarte de Sant Pere on the southwest corner of Ibiza Town's medieval fortification Dalt Vila. Told you it was good!
In fact, this is the very first time this specific spot is being used for a party. Fifty years deep, but still breaking ground. The best part? Admission is completely free - no ticket required. All you need to do is rock up on the day!
There's more. We're bolting onto Hippy House's One Last Summer Dance, which takes place from 17:00 to midnight in Parc Reina Sofía at the foot of the fortress, not far from Plaza del Parque. There's only a short two-minute walk between the main stage and ours.
Hippy House has booked Tech House purebreds Manu Gonzalez and Francisco Allendes to play back-to-back as headliners. Support comes from Leyo and Neliah Kandisha amongst many others.
As for our stage, it's made up of some of faces behind Ibiza Spotlight, close friends, long-time island residents and a headliner of our own.
PIV affiliate Kellie Allen plays the peak slot, with earlier sets from our own Lissy Lübeck and Timo, plus Moom label head Midge, past Café del Mar patron Kieran Goodacre and Ilvhann on opening duties. You can view the full line-up and stage breakdown below.
The festivities continue with an official After Party at nearby Funky Room.
Owned by legendary island personality Vaughan, Funky Room is only a brisk eight-minute walk away from Baluarte de Sant Pere and boasts great acoustics, an intimate dancefloor and free-flowing drinks. Rumours of an open-bar have been strenuously denied by Spotlight top brass (!)
You're all invited to join us for this late-season celebration in this milestone year in our history. We'd love to see as many loyal customers, clients, islanders and Spotlight staffers past and present as possible.
