Like many of the Acid House generation DJs who spent their formative years playing on the island, Dave Seaman fell in love with Ibiza, And, like many of his peers, he set designs on one day living here. Well, dreams can come true.
We now count Dave and his family amongst Ibiza's year-round residents.
Ahead of his final Ibiza appearance of summer 2026, Dave was kind enough to give us his island recommendations. What can we say? His taste in food, customer service and natural beauty is just as refined as his taste in music!
Breakfast spot
Our local breakfast/coffee spot is the wonderful roadside cafe, Can Guimó, heading north on the San Joan road in San Lorenzo. It's effortlessly bohemian shabby chic with the lovely Esteban at the helm.
We also go to Es Pins close to Cala Pada just north of Santa Eulalia for breakfast quite regularly too. Local laidback vibes at reasonable prices.
You might notice a theme developing here: once a northerner, always a northerner I guess!
Beaches
Being a sucker for a classic white sandy beach with clear waters and a long, slow, steady decline into the sea, Cala Nova (pictured above) and Cala San Vicente up on the northeast coast would have to be my two beaches of choice.
The Boat House at Cala San Vicente also do a mean burger, if you're that way inclined.
Places to dine
We're particularly spoilt for choice in our neck of the woods up in San Lorenzo. There's a whole host of choices.
From the picturesque daytime garden vibes of La Paloma, to the rustic simplicity of the Balafia open-air grill and the all-day hidden gem of Mondo's Bistro in San Joan to the all-year-round, Japanese fine dining of Nagai (pictured above). Take your pick.
Another hidden gem that I’d highly recommend would be El Bigotes, a charmingly quaint no-frills fresh fish shack right on the water at Cala Mastella (pictured above). A throwback to simpler times.
Nightlife
It's no coincidence that all my favourite nightlife spots on the island are the ones that have an evening outside terrace, followed by a late night club inside. The best of both worlds.
528 Ibiza, Cova Santa, Las Dalias/Akasha and Pikes (pictured above) all have it.
There’s something that feels authentically Balearic about dancing under the stars as the sun sets and then carrying on after dark into the club with all the unknown possibilities the night holds. That original spirit of Ibiza does still exist if you know where to look.
Dave's debut album, Mirrorball Sleaze, lands on his own Selador imprint this November.

His final confirmed Ibiza date of the 2026 tourist season takes place next Thursday at 528 Ibiza for Global Underground, where he lines up alongside Patrice Bäumel and James Zabiela in the club room. Earlier, Deep Dish and Guy J play on the outdoor Garden Stage.
