Next week, Argentine outfit LA K’ONGA bring the cuarteto phenomenon to Ibiza for the first time
The band from Córdoba arrive at Las Dalias on Thursday 24 September as the latest headline act for the venue's Live Music series. As well as being their first-time on the island, the date marks the start of LA K’ONGA's European Cuartetour.
Formed in Córdoba in 2003 and Currently fronted by the voices of Pablo Tamagnini, Nelson Aguirre and Diego Granadé, LA K’ONGA formed in 2003 but are only now getting recognition on a wider international platform.
Tracks including Ya no vuelvas, Te mentiría, El mismo aire, Adicto and Cinco minutos form the backbone of their repertoire, turning concertgoers from passive attendees into an active part of the show.
Their sounds is built around a form of music known as cuarteto, which is native to the Córdoba region. However, their live performance has played a fundamental role in their success, in which dancing, crowd recall and an connection with the audience is part of the experience.
LA K’ONGA have sold out multiple shows at venues such as the Gran Rex and the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires and Vélez Sarsfield's stadium.
Throughout their career, they have worked alongside fellow artists David Bisbal, Nicki Nicole, Luck Ra, Carlos Baute and Nahuel Pennisi, widening the reach of a sound deeply rooted in Córdoba.
