Evening artisan market in Santa Gertrudis
5 June

Each Friday evening in high season, the Association of Artisans and Local Producers of Ibiza brings a small-scale artisan market to the pedestrianised heart of Santa Gertrudis. Set in the village square beneath the illuminated church, it offers a relaxed setting for browsing locally made crafts.
Around 10 stalls showcase ceramics, paintings, miniatures, jewellery and handmade pieces created by island-based artists. From late evening, the atmosphere shifts as live music or a performance of ball pagès, Ibiza’s traditional folk dance, brings movement and rhythm to the square, accompanied by local instruments.
Santa Gertrudis is also known for its varied dining scene, meaning visitors often combine an evening of craft browsing with dinner in one of the village’s nearby restaurants, making for an easygoing night in the centre of the island.

However, the main gathering takes place in San Juan, in the north. Here, music, traditional dancing, games and food stalls create a lively communal atmosphere.
