Week preview | Ibiza Trance Event

22 to 27 September.

Calling all Trance fans: this one is for you. We know you're a passionate, die-hard bunch. Your commitment to the cause has never been questioned. From Tuesday 22 September to Sunday 27 September, the global community descends on Ibiza for six days of dedicated parties.

Based in San Antonio - with most parties taking place in the town itself and the rest within the wider municipality - Ibiza Trance Event (ITE) is the week-long celebration of one of dance music's most adored sub-genres.

Across the week, 528 Ibiza, Amnesia (twice), Es Paradis (twice) and a boat party all play host, while there are at least a couple of unaffiliated parties that might as well be a part of the official programme. Keep reading to find out what is happening where and when.

Es Paradis

Euphoria | Es Paradis

Tuesday 22 September

Kicking things off, Euphoria dusts off the cobwebs to takeover Es Paradis and officially start ITE 2026. Along with MOS's The Annual and the Hedkandi series, Euphoria arrived as the second generation of mix compilations, which currently spans 65 individual releases since the late '90s.

It also became a successful party brand that toured Europe's party hotspots, elevating itself to the status of Mediterranean legend. Now back in the hands of some of the original team, Euphoria seeks to build on its history.

Playing the biggest summer anthems from the present, but also a substantial amount of high-energy classics that’ll take you right back, here is a party that unites generations of clubbers. Euphoria is back in business.

Line-up: Agnelli & Nelson, Dale Castell, Rob Tissera, Steve Kelly

The Kevin & Perry Experience | Amnesia Ibiza

The Kevin & Perry Experience | Amnesia

Wednesday 23 September

All they wanted to do, was "do it" - and who are we to deprive them of such a benign request? Unbelievably, we're now into the fifth year of Kevin & Perry's doppelgangers entertaining us with their rubber-faced, over-exaggerated send-ups and, no, we aren't sick of it yet.

ITE hits full steam at Amnesia with another two room takeover from the stars of a film who wooed a whole new generation of Ibiza lovers. This year comes with the promise of a cameo from film antagonist Eyeball Paul! Exactly what that entails, you have to attend to find out.

Line-up: Dave Pearce, Ian Van Dahl, N-Trance, Signum, Lange, Seb Fontaine, Ultrabeat

SHINE Ibiza Open Air | 528 Ibiza

SHINE Ibiza Open Air | 528 Ibiza

Thursday 24 September

After last year's flip to 528 Ibiza, SHINE Ibiza is back at the sprawling hillside estate for another standalone date. With Paul van Dyk yet again at the wheel, prepare yourself for timeless Trance anthems shared under the Balearic September skies.

The SHINE Ibiza Open Air edition kicks off outdoors from 18:00 to 23:00, before the energy shifts inside to 528’s intimate club space, which runs until very late. For our money, this could end up being the highlight of the entire week.

Let's bring back the energy of the old Captured Festival.

Line-up: Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Bryan Kearney, Ciaran McAuley, Seb Fontaine, Stephen Kirkwood

The Floater Boat Party

Friday 25 September

"It's a floater!" won't go down as one of cinema's great lines. Still, the scene it's taken from is immortalised as one of the most infamous gross-out sequences to grace motion picture. Fortunately, Ibiza's beaches and surrounding waters are very clean in reality.

In a nod to the film, the Official Kevin & Perry Boat Party sails two days after the Amnesia reunion. If you're likely to be suffering from a sore head, we can attest the fresh sea air being the perfect antidote. Signum is onboard to supply the tunes.

Godskitchen | Amnesia Ibiza

Godskitchen | Amnesia

Saturday 26 September

Godskitchen, the seminal club brand from the West Midlands, was a leading force in the "super-club" era and needs no introduction. Now, over 25 years later, one of Trance music's most cherished parties is slowly cementing itself as a pivotal part of ITE as it returns to Amnesia.

The full club takeover sees Trance legends spread across both rooms. This is a resurrection of biblical proportions - and one we can all get behind. Even though the controversial rebranding of God's iconic angel logo perplexed a few of the old guard, it's still cookin' up a storm.

Line-up: Fergie, Ferry Corsten, John O'Callaghan, Jordan Nocturne, Lisa Lashes, Paul van Dyk, Tall Paul

Judgement | Es Paradis

Judgement Sundays | Es Paradis

Sunday 27 September

During the golden age of Trance, Judgement Sundays held the distinction on being San Antonio's most popular party. Such was the gravitational pull of the genre back then, the party mopped up the town's holidaymakers as well as attracting an influx from other resorts.

Times change, as they have a habit of doing, and Judge Jules departed Radio 1 and semi-retired from DJing. But you know the thing with nostalgia - it's a helluva drug! For one night only, the party returns to Es Paradis with The Judge and a string of former residents.

By order of the court, The Judge has ruled that Trance still reigns.

Line-up: Judge Jules, Scott Bond, Tristan Ingram, Vicky Devine

Unofficial parties

If the above isn't enough to scratch that Trance itch, then there's a couple more contenders away from the official programme. Oh, and they both include legends of the genre...

Armin van Buuren presents A State of Trance | [UNVRS]
Monday 21 September

Armin van Buuren has been an ever-present force on Ibiza since the days of Armada.

Now, back on the grounds of the old Privilege where it once reigned, A State of Trance seeks to disrupt the programme at [UNVRS] with Armin playing extended sets on each date. Part of the allocated five hours on 21 September includes a unique format back-to-back Armin has dubbed "face-to-face", which will see him square-up to Argy quite literally. Very novel.

Line-up: Armin van Buuren (extended set), Armin van Buuren b2b Argy

Markus Schulz: Open To Close | Eden
Friday 25 September

Just like last year, Markus Schulz swoops into Eden to play open-to-close, all night long.

The Coldharbour Records boss has played the last four Thursdays, so any suggestion he's switched the final date to Friday to conveniently assimilate into the ITE schedule is an accusation that we can't possibly comment on the veracity of!

Line-up: Markus Schulz (all night long)
