Though I might need to remain completely impartial when it comes to favourite club or favourite party (or favourite press agency!), there's one thing I am unapologetically partisan about: September being Ibiza's best month for clubbing. Some things just aren't up for debate.
Hopefully, over the next five selections - no easy feat, let me tell you - you can get a sense of what makes September so special on the party front.
The only headache now is working out how to fit all these parties (along with the ones that narrowly missed out) into my schedule.
Adam Beyer b2b Layton Giordani | RESISTANCE | Amnesia

You won't find many people who were as thrilled as I was when RESISTANCE announced its return to Ibiza. Since the line-ups were released, this particular date had always been on my radar. It's brimming with talent. To top it off, Adam Beyer and Layton Giordani go back-to-back.
There's something about when teacher and student are paired together in a b2b that I find especially appealing. We've seen this combo at Amnesia before, back at the 2023 Opening Party. On that occasion, it was in the Main Room. This time we get it on the Terraza.

Major League DJz | HUGEL | Hï Ibiza

At face value, friends of mine might consider this a suspicious first choice. And frankly, true, it doesn't conform to my usual tastes. So I shall explain...
Back in April at IMS Grand Finale, HUGEL b2b Major League DJz blew my mind. They were a true surprise package, and I've been feeding off that high ever since. Now that I have the chance to catch them at HUGEL's own night, has me dreaming of a repeat performance.
Can lightning strike twice? Here's hoping for an unannounced back-to-back so I can relive it all over again.
Lissy Lübeck | Ibiza Talents | Eden

Some might claim I'm only picking her because she's my best mate. The reality is, I'm only picking her because she was too humble to pick herself. In any case, they're my picks - so I can choose who I like, for whatever reason I like!
Plus, it gives me an excuse to post the hay bale photo (it might be my favourite thing... ever?)
Get down to Eden early doors on 11 September to see Lissy Lü open up for Ibiza Talents. Go on, Liss! See you at the front.
Ida Engberg | Carl Cox | [UNVRS]
Sunday 14 September
Ida Engberg is my failsafe DJ. Eternally reliable to raise the roof wherever she is playing, I'm yet to see her play a set that hasn't delivered. Likely to play earlier in the night for Carl Cox at [UNVRS] on 14 September, I have full confidence Ida still tears the place down.
Considering she's playing alongside Sven Väth and Cox himself, well, it's one of my favourite line-ups of summer. No further explanation needed. I can't wait to experience this one unfurl from start to finish. Oh, yes.
Kitty Amor | Defected | Pacha

While the public backlash against the rise of Afro House was sadly predictable, we should point out its unfair to tar a whole movement by the same brush. There's still plenty of incredible Africanised beats out there, and none more so than those being pushed by Kitty Amor.
Underlining not only Defected's diverse sound, but its stronghold of in-house talent, Kitty is set to light up Pacha on 25 September. "Elevator music", I promise this won't be. Dismiss the naysayers; Afro House is still riding strong.
