Top 5 DJ sets to catch on Ibiza in September picked by Lissy Lü

Is September Ibiza's best month for partying? You be the judge, based on these selections.

Ah, September. It always arrives like a breath of fresh air. Without a doubt my favourite month on the island, it feels like you can finally soak up summer at a slower pace. Free from the frenzy of peak season, yet just as involved in the mountainous array of parties taking place.

The clubs tend to be not as jam packed as July and August, the weather is still gorgeous (save for the odd rainy day) and the resident DJs usually bring out some serious showstoppers as they close in on the final stretch of their residencies.

I've picked out five DJs that you just don't want to miss over the next month on the island.

Those that might be rare sightings on the island or just sets that I know are going to go OFF.

Basement Jaxx | Pikes Presents closing party | 528 Ibiza

Tuesday 16 September

What has easily been one of the standout parties of summer 2025, Pikes Presents rounds off an incredible summer of fun at sister venue 528 Ibiza on 16 September. A killer line-up of electronic music icons are assembled, that you don't often get to see here on Ibiza.

UK duo Basement Jaxx will play a highly-anticipated DJ set in the stunning setting of the Benimussa Hills to finish off the new island residency.

Best known for the tracks from their 1999 hit album Remedy, including Red Alert, Where’s Your Head At and Do Your Thing, Basement Jaxx's legacy still stands strong two and a half decades later. Expect an unmatched vibe with Pikes' no phone policy and plenty of old timers.

Moodymann | Kerri Chandler presents Kaoz Theory | Chinois Ibiza

Thursday 18 September

Unlike many other sought-after DJs, Moodymann is a little harder to catch on stage on Ibiza. The Detroit icon has played just once a month across June, July and August. But fear not, as he's returning once again.

To round off his Ibiza 2025 schedule, he's joining fellow heavyweight Kerri Chandler on 18 September at Chinois Ibiza for Kaoz Theory. If you know your stuff musically, you’ll know that this is the real deal. You're sure to hear music you've never heard before.

Jamie Jones | Music On | Pacha

Friday 19 September

You may have seen Jamie Jones at his new island home of [UNVRS] already this summer, where he throws his Paradise party every Wednesday. 19 September presents something a little different, however...

He'll be exchanging the shiny new lights of [UNVRS] for the pristine Pacha dancefloor, as he joins Italian stallion, Tech House king Marco Carola at his Music On residency.

Wow, I can picture it now. A real throwback to the Ibiza heyday when these two would often share the booth. Moments like this don't come around often, so now is your chance to catch these two icons together to close out your summer.

Miguelle & Tons | ANOTR present No Art Ibiza | [UNVRS]

Sunday 28 September

ANOTR are set to take over the huge [UNVRS] mecca, as they debut their renowned No Art record label turned party at club on 28 September. The star-studded line-up sees them invite The Martinez Brothers, Joëlla Jackson and Miguelle & Tons to the main stage.

Making their [UNVRS] debut, Miami music moguls Miguelle & Tons step up to the plate to bring their Latin-infused Tech House sounds to the masses. You don't want to miss it.

Who can guess what's planned for the club's other rooms? With so many Tech House titans taking over the colossal club, I doubt you'll feel the need to wander elsewhere anyway.

DiOSA (AKA Blondi) | PIV Ibiza closing party | Cova Santa

Tuesday 30 September

Lots of people say some of the best electronic music being produced right now is coming out of The Netherlands. I couldn't agree more. Record label turned party collective PIV has been on a steady rise in recent years. It's clear the brand is only headed in one direction.

PIV closes out a phenomenal season of Minimal House in the San José hills with a sick line-up on 30 September. Formerly known as Blondi, DiOSA leads the charge for fresh female talent.

Translating to "goddess" in Spanish, it's a powerful new alias for an artist every bit as striking and talented as the title suggests. Headlining the night is Dan Ghenacia, joined by Job de Jong, Robbie Doherty and Ruze, making for a line-up that's perfect for a season closer.

We did tell you September was a stellar month on the line-up front - and the above only scratches the surface.

More staff picks will be online soon, but you can already check-out Steve's and Stefano's top five.

Tickets to all five of Lissy's picks can be found on our party calendar.
