Party preview | FUSE at 528 Ibiza

The London powerhouse teams up with Brunch Electronik for three peak-summer outdoor parties.

About FUSE

Since its inception in 2008, FUSE has evolved from a lowkey, weekly Sunday party in East London, into one of the most established institutions on the underground and Minimal circuit.

With sell-out parties across Europe as well as being home to three record labels: FUSE, INFUSE and LOCUS, head honcho Enzo Siragusa has remained true to the party's roots, never straying from its authentic music policy and no nonsense approach to clubbing.

FUSE broke a six year Ibiza hiatus, when it returned last year. Having previously thrown parties at 528 Ibiza's predecessor, Benimussa Park, it slotted back in like it had never been away. Following that success, we're back outside in the wilderness for three proper rave-ups in the sun.

When?

18:00 to 04:00 on 2, 9 and 16 August [three dates]

Where?

528 Ibiza
Carrer del Romaní, 18, Sant Antoni de Portmany, 07820 Open in Google Maps

528 Ibiza is located on the outskirts of San Antonio, close to the residential area of Ses Païsses. The immediate area has a handful of local bars and small restaurants, but a fraction of the choice compared to the thriving San Antonio nearby.

Due to its location in a residential area, driving is largely discouraged. Attendees are advised that taxi is the best method of transport to and from the site.

Who?

Enzo Siragusa by Michael Tomlinson

Enzo Siragusa

- underground tastemaker and record label owner
- helped nurture Archie Hamilton
- encouraged Rossko to MC at after parties

A second generation Sicilian migrant, Enzo began DJing in his teens. Initially, he played his first love of Jungle music, honing his skills and amassing a vast record collection.

Although still living with his parents in Berkshire, Enzo soon became deeply embedded in rave culture and London's Acid House scene.

After launching FUSE in 2008, Enzo earned a reputation for being one of the capital's most astute selectors, acquiring a cult-following at 93 Feet East's Sunday hangout, later upsizing to Village Underground.

Today, FUSE is capable of filling fabriclondon, Studio 338, Printworks and even has its own one-day festival in Barking. It has added an annual jaunt to Malta as part of its international calendar, while Enzo himself is considered a leading force in underground House music, affectionately earning the nickname "Enzo Silly-Goose-A".

Why?

Five good reasons to go:

  • some of the best curated line-ups we've seen this year
  • a festival-esque experience right here on Ibiza with a big stage and lighting, first under the sun and later under the stars, before ending up in the on site club room
  • hot food options available on-site
  • rare advertised back-to-back set from Chris Stussy and Locklead's Across Boundaries project
  • get to experience the thrill of the old Zoo Project parties and understand why they are still talked about in such glowing terms

Top tip: These parties take place at the height of summer. Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks to the chill out zones to recharge, before returning to the dancefloor.
