Getting the holiday plans out of a group and into existence can be an arduous task; last-minute dropouts, life dramas, and commitment issues mean your dream holiday could remain just that.
Here at Ibiza Spotlight, we're always game for an unaccompanied jaunt to incredible destinations. After all, what's life without an adventure, or without the experience of Ibiza…at least just once?
With that in mind, here is our guide to nailing the solo mission. From the vital preparation to bagging a holiday bestie, and of course, ensuring you have the absolute time of your life.
Before we go on, just a little reminder to follow our Ibiza Spotlight Instagram and TikTok channels to see the island in action, and of course, our party and events calendar, to start scheduling in your fun.
Essential Preparation

Pre-game preparation is key, so when you jump online to order your summer outfits, you may want to check out our Ibiza Spotlight Forum. A goldmine for getting connected to fellow clubbers who hold the island as close to their hearts as you do, the forums are an invaluable source of information from those who know the island inside out.
You’ll even find a Meet me in Ibiza thread, where fellow solo singles share invitations and events they’d prefer to join forces for.
Choosing where to stay

View from The Standard, Ibiza - Adults Only
Ibiza resorts all have their own charm and appeal, and while we could get into the nitty-gritty of each one here, your best bet is to read our Ibiza Insiders Guide on where to stay in Ibiza and establish the vibe you want for your time here.
If you know the style of dream holiday you want, then we have that covered. Maybe boutique, relaxing, clubby, or even treat yourself to a little luxury? There are also some fantastic budget-friendly options if you'd prefer to spend your money on the rest of the island.
Probably the most important option to note, because who wants to be disturbed by wailing children and the pitter-patter of tiny feet, is the island's adults-only accommodation.
Party for one

The 528 Ibiza open-air dancefloor
Yes, the islands' super clubs are incredible experiences, with pumping dancefloors to lose yourself on, solo or otherwise. However, if you’re on your own, then the daytime parties and smaller venues may feel a little less intimidating. They tend to have more of a sociable vibe to them, where conversations and new dancing partners can easily be made.
Las Dalias and Akasha have this nailed. All week, they offer incredible parties, attracting equally laid-back and authentic crowds as the venue itself. 528 Ibiza is this summer's darling, and rightly so. You’ll feel super comfortable on the bright and beautiful alfresco dancefloors, and its huge range of parties always attracts a diverse bunch to dance alongside.
Cova Santa also gets our vote. Its party schedule is second to none, and the venue amplifies an incredible energy that's ingrained within its walls.

Always raving with Kevin & Perry
For the friendliest night of the summer, make sure to land in Ibiza at the same time as The Kevin & Perry Experience, at Amnesia on Wednesday 23 September. This event attracts legions of old-school ravers with the old-school raving attitude, where open arms and open hearts always welcome you in. Whether you're in this age category or not, if you're solo raving, it's one of the best crowds to be amongst.
For the girls, attending club nights by yourself can seem especially daunting. We recommend two Pacha parties: Monday night's Sonny Fodera and Sunday's Solomun +1, being two parties with a very evenly split female to male ratio and, in some cases, more women.
It's also worth mentioning boat parties here. The party atmosphere that’s created on these little vessels is electric. Here, cool DJ beats match the hot sunbeams to deliver a blinding afternoon out. Everyone's up for it, so you won’t be dancing alone for long.
For the full listing of every party, every day throughout the year, our party calendar is essential reading.
Become a beach bum

Playa d'en Bossa beach
Where do we even begin? Ibiza has so many beautiful beaches to hang out on for the day, it’s impossible to pick a favourite. However, they do all have their own vibe and energy. So knowing what you want to be surrounded by as you catch the rays is the best place to start.
For vibes, Cala Conta is always a winner. Nothing beats a day-to-night experience here, as tunes float through the air from the cliffside restaurant as the sun sets spectacularly before you. Playa d’en Bossa is much the same, plus it offers some fantastic beach clubs if you fancy treating yourself. Being the longest stretch of sand on the island in the party hub, temptation is at its peak here. This beach is often filled with post-night and pre-night partiers, so conversations - don’t expect them all to make sense - can be easily struck up.
Cala Gracio is easy to reach from San Antonio and comes with a nice, chilled attitude. It's also worth staying on here for the sunset spectacle.
Get adventurous

Lunch with new friends on the Ibiza Food Tour
Ibiza is an island perfect for exploring; however, no one needs their adventure to end in a search and rescue team being sent out. Luckily, there are many ways you can experience the island's beauty, both on water and on land, with the guidance of an expert hand.
Ibiza Outdoors has really gone all out to make individuals feel part of the group. Walking fans are invited to Wednesday PURE walks, where you and your new crew can explore secret island spots. Food fans should join their Ibiza Food Tours in Ibiza Town. Culture, conversation, and cramming your face with delicious food, what a perfect combination.
It's worth checking out our Discover Ibiza guide, which shows all the fantastic places to explore, island-wide.
Date night

Enjoying the open-air terrace at Itaca in San Antonio
The bonus of being unattached is that you can eat wherever you fancy, with no compromise on style, location, or price to make someone else happy. Ibiza has hundreds of incredible spots to dine, and so we couldn’t possibly list them all here. However, our handy guide to all things restaurants should become your essential Ibiza food bible.
It’s not just restaurants that come in every flavour, you can also grab a drink and decide on the best backdrop for you. For cocktails with live music, the island has a full schedule of entertainment. If you want a moment by yourself with the best show in town, our guide to sunset bars on Ibiza has the finest viewpoints. Who needs friends with views like these?
A little reminder that it's also worth taking a look through our events calendar, and seeing what might take your fancy, and where you’d feel comfortable going it alone. Comedy shows, live music, tours, and cinema nights, plus much more happening throughout the summer and beyond.
Treat yourself

Yoga at Beachouse in Playa d'en Bossa
Why not have an experience just for you, where your mind, body, and soul can align without distraction? Whether it's a massage or a yoga class, you can check our guide to all things Ibiza zen here. Or you could go all in by checking out completely at one of the incredible spas on the island. This will, of course, cost a few pennies, but who's there to argue that you’re not worth it?
Get connected
There’s also a host of Facebook groups that offer a great community for those wanting to test the Balearic water, solo. You’ll soon realise that holidaying alone is pretty commonplace and people are always super keen to offer advice and compare dates. You never know, you could land a new partner in crime.
The most standout are Ibiza Solo Travel and Ibiza Solo Travel Women’s Group. For those ravers who will never rest, Ibiza Clubbing for 40s+, where Founder Red Jules and her team offer great support and meetup opportunities throughout the summer.
A simple Facebook search for ‘Ibiza 2026’ will bring a long list of other groups you could join.
If you don’t know already, our complete Ibiza Insiders Guide is the place to go. Ideal for first timers, it's also a great resource for those who want a little refresher on how the island moves and shakes.
