About Sven Väth presents Cocoon
Created and fronted by legendary DJ Sven Väth, few parties enjoy the legacy that Cocoon has on Ibiza. As the island's original Techno party, its contribution to Ibiza's musical identity can not be overstated. A true Ibiza love affair.
Cocoon and Amnesia just go hand-in-hand. It would be sacrilege to think of the club's fiftieth anniversary without Cocoon - and, clearly, the programmers at the club felt the same way. We aren't exaggerating when we say, this is shaping up to be one of the parties of summer 2026.

San Rafael is a village in the middle of the island, but Amnesia itself is located off the main road between San Antonio and Ibiza Town. There are some small "local bars" in the centre of San Rafael, but you are probably better served having pre-drinks wherever you are departing from.
You can catch the L3 disco bus from either direction (or alternatively the regular L3 service if you are travelling before midnight/after 06:30 - it isn't unknown!) If you are travelling from Ibiza Town, the bus stop is on the opposite side of the road and you will need to use the footbridge to cross.
There is a taxi rank on the same side of the road as the club.

What would you risk on the flip of a coin? Sven Väth's love affair with Ibiza began in the '80s, but if it were not for fate, he might never have ended up here at all. Thankfully, the universe was on our side and he boarded the ferry from Barcelona. The rest, as they say, is history.
Starting at Amnesia in 1999 (where it stayed for 19 out of 20 seasons), Cocoon introducing Techno to Ibiza. People said Sven was crazy to go head-to-head with MANUMISSION over the road, but on reflection, things turned out pretty okay.
The sound of the island would, otherwise, have been quite different.
While the party's music may have evolved down the years, one thing that remained constant was its loyal and passionate fan base. Cocoon was and remains a party of the people - the antithesis of VIP culture, which it refused to entertain. The dancefloor has always remained the focus.

Sven has already confirmed Cocoon will return to Ibiza in 2026, at 528 Ibiza on 23 September.
Top tip: The Cocoon ravers of old had such an appetite for a party. The beast could not be fed enough. If you still have an inclination to carry on dancing after Amnesia closes, scour our party calendar and make plans. Keep your eyes peeled any late additions.
