Tech house artists to see in Ibiza this week

Where you can get your tech house feast on the island this week.

Right, you bunch of thunderbugs, this week is all about the tech house exploits and we know there's plenty of you who're game. Outdoors, we continue to shelter from peak season heat, but when it comes to that dance floor there's nowhere you'd rather be than right at the blistering heart of it.

Let us courteously lead you to where we reckon your feet should be temporarily rooted. You can graciously thank us later. Enjoy.

Wednesday 16 August / Archie Hamilton / HYTE at Amnesia

FUSE takes over Amnesia's Main Room for a second dusting this week and this will be your last opportunity to fixate on Hamilton's deft mixing. One of FUSE's leading residents, Archie Hamilton witnessed his career boom in 2016 which no doubt clinched him a hotspot in Resident Advisor's Top 100 DJs poll. One of the chosen few to give Privilege a good roasting during Carl Cox's almighty two-date showdown, he knows how grab you by your dancing tails. Much of his music catalogue ticks the tech house box, however, his sonic blends straddle deep house, minimal and dub techno, so expect a satisfying fusion of dance floor fodder.

Wednesday 16 August / Tapesh / Audio Rehab at Eden

This is all set to be the German producer's second date with the Audio Rehab crew at Eden. A regular on ANTS' rosters over the past few seasons, his name is well established on this little island, and he's known for having a very unique DJ style that's been touted by Loco Dice and Jamie Jones. His driving aim behind that booth is to bring fun to the floor, and have his crowd in nothing but good spirits. Sounds like the key ingredients for a slammin' party, so you know where you need to be this Wednesday.

Thursday 17 August / Dale Howard / Faction at Eden Thursday 17 August / Aney F / Faction at Eden

British producer Dale Howard first made waves in the scene in 2009 with his debut EP Gotta Be Deep on Neurotraxx Delux. Since that breakout year, his productions have been supported by Nic Fanciulli, Mark Knight, Florian Meindl, Funkagenda, Ekkohaus and Robert Owens, among plenty more. There's nothing like praise from your peers affirming your place in the industry and he had more of that with Paradise residency boss, Jamie Jones, giving his remix of Toni Varga and Santé's track Sub Bass System a blast at DC10. The big names are clamouring for his sound, and you'll be thrown under the tech house carpet with him at Faction this Thursday.

Friday 18 August / Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers / Tuskegee x Cuttin' Headz at DC10

Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers are big players in drawing droves of heady clubbers to DC10's floors, and when brought in for a back to back spin-off, they're sets ooze with groove. Bringing their own night to the White Isle, it couldn't really be anywhere else other than DC10. Tuskegee was formed after the three met at the iconic Ibiza haunt, forming a solid relationship and bonding over their urban-American cultural influences. In conjunction with The Martinez Brothers' Cuttin' Headz label, you'll be getting a good soaking of this trio's infectious tech house groove.

Sunday 20 August / Latmun / Do Not Sleep Presents Cuckoo Land at Ibiza Rocks

British producer Joe Bradley (a.k.a Latmun) has had his profile skyrocket in the last 24 months. Take one look at his events pages on Resident Advisor from 2015 and 2016 and you'll get an accurate measure on just how rapidly his deftness has been sought. Tracks like Def and a remix of Green Velvet's Flash put him on the map, and he tore into 2017 with dates at BPM Festival and Miami Music Week. Jamie Jones bagged him for Paradise this season, and Cuckoo Land signed him up as an official resident. We know just how much Ibiza clubbers love a pool party frolic, and with Cuckoo Land's chaotic take on poolside mischief, you're guaranteed an epic one.

Sunday 20 August / Ellie Cocks / ABODE at Sankeys

Ellie Cocks burst on to the dance music scene in late 2012, with her energetic technique quickly getting noticed. She bashes out a variety of tech house beats, and as one of ABODE's leading residents from the beginning, she knows how to gratify those crowds. Recently invited by Pete Tong into Radio 1's Tag Team series, she delivered the sound of Ibiza.
