Burn Residency 2014: Apply Now

Take a chance and this could kickstart your career.

If you fancy yourself as the next big thing in dance music or perhaps it is a dream of yours to be resident at some of the world's best clubs, then the Burn Residency competition is probably for you.

The competition has been going for several years now, hosting a very public and extended selection process around the world and finishing on Ibiza with tutorials, mentor sessions, exhibitions and great experiences aplenty. Fortunately for you, the competition submission deadline has been extended and will now close this coming Saturday 15th March at midnight.

Roughly, the process consists of six phases. Firstly, you must head to the Burn application page, fill in your details and submit a mix no longer than 15-20 minutes. The you look for votes with those having 20% of the most votes being taken through to the next stage. The most popular 20% in each country (max 50 people total) are taken through to local mix-off events with the best 5 DJs being taken from each country to Ibiza for the boot camp phase of the journey. The bootcamp is from 21st June until 6th July with various mentors (So far, Carl Cox and Pete Tong have been announced as mentors) helping you improve through a series of master-classes and workshops.

From here, the best 5 DJs are then announced as winners of residencies across clubs on Ibiza with the very best DJ being awarded the 100,000€ winners prize investment into a DJ career with a one year management deal.
