The beautiful game is all the better this week since Marcos Garcia became the first Ibiza born player ever to tread the turf in a EUFA cup competition. He made his appearance for Villarreal, who are based in Castellón, north of Valencia, as they pushed three past the goalkeeperless Swedes of Hammarby.
Garcia was on the substitutes bench for most of the game, but made his all important UEFA debut just 4 minutes from the end of normal time. We have scanned all the match reports but still don't know if he managed a kick of the ball, but whether he did or not, well done!
