Shock production MANUMISSION has revealed the storyline driving the narrative across five stages and twelve hours at 528 Ibiza on Saturday 26 September.
Ibiza's legendary summer of 1998 is brought back to life for the centrepiece of the three-legged Le Weekend, and it's clear organisers Mike & Claire have lost none of the their creative spark in the interim.
For the first time in 528 Ibiza’s five year history, all stages are linked through a single immersive story. Both the outdoor and indoor spaces are transformed into an interconnected dreamscape.
From open-air spectacle to after-dark antics, the show will unfold across the entire site.
Taking inspiration from the tell-all memoir, The Motel: High Times in 90s Ibiza, the production brings together the stories, characters and scenarios evoking the carefree spirit of the notorious era.
Mike and Claire said, "Creating MANUMISSION for and with the next generation is a dream come true. We have a living doll's house with characters taking on roles drawn from our memoir.
Under our forensic creative direction the event has been co-created by some of MANUMISSION's most talented collaborators, who were actually there in the hot summer of '98. All the mystery of MANMUSSION and the Motel will soon be revealed. We simply cannot wait."
At its centre stands a three-storey stage re-creation of the infamous Manumission Motel - serving as the backdrop for a pulsating production presided over by British choreographer Jodie Blemmings and a cast of London’s dance elite, including Paris Fitzpatrick.
Throw drag queens, acrobats, preposterous characters, surreal encounters and organised chaos into the mix and the Motel’s most outrageous stories are brought to life.

Beyond it, each dancefloor will draw guests through the evening, facilitating dancing into the early hours. Every stage will have its own atmosphere, soundtrack and cast. The freedom, humour and excess of MANUMISSION flows consistently throughout.
In keeping with the spirit of MANUMISSION, the DJs are only a part of a much bigger spectacle, including theatrics, performance and the attendees themselves shaping the experience.
While David Morales and Carl Craig (pictured above) are now confirmed, the full line-up remains heavily guarded.
A no filming or photography policy is in operation, with strict rules on phone-use to be observed.
