Top 10: Inescapable Tunes of Ibiza 2010

Not the best, not the coolest, not the biggest selling, not even a top 5 actually like normal. 10 of the tunes you will hear in abundance in Ibiza 2010.

10. Swedish House Mafia - One (EMI)

This track was basically vetoed by the other two, but gets included anyway. Whilst it's no Leave The World Behind or Feel The Vibe, it is one of the fastest selling tracks ever on Beatport and is sure to be hammered by a host of DJs in bars and clubs island-wide. LF

Will be heard at Swedish House Mafia, Mondays at Pacha

9. Erik & Fiedel - Nous Sommes MMM (MMM)

Hard to describe what this sounds like, so just listen to it. Will be a Cocoon Terrace favourite seeing that Ricardo Villalobos himself has made this a feature of his recent sets. Weird, impossible to put in a genre and well bangin'. ZR

Will be heard at Cocoon, Mondays at Amnesia

8. Tim Green - Lone Time (Cocoon Recordings)

Released on Cocoon at the end of 2009 with Yousef's Come Home on the reverse, this record has been one of the most popular sounds of the early part of 2010. The talented Tim Green is set to play Wonderland on the 16th July and the percussive tribalisms of Lone Time make it an 'any-time' smash. GOH

Will be heard at Kehakuma, Wednesdays at Space

7. DJ Hell featuring Bryan Ferry - U Can Dance (Carl Craig Remix) (International Deejay Gigolos)

Got to be one of the most expensive combinations ever in dance music with the Roxy Music front man taking a step from being a regular face in Ibiza's club to being the voice coming out of the speakers. C2's mix is double-tech with a tech cherry on the top. ZR

Will be heard at Warung, Wednesdays at Privilege.

6. Nalin & Kane - Beachball (Joris Voorn Remix) (Superfly Records)

Interesting match-up to see the hype-man Joris Voorn remix the Ibiza trance classic that is still regularly played year after year. The Dutchman's version is a subtle rework, without any huge explosions but with a breakdown enough to have them reaching for the lasers and certainly one that grows on you. LF

Will be heard at Space Opening Weekend

5. NU Frequency feat Ben Onono - Fallen Hero (Motorcitydrumensemble Remix) (Rebirth)

There is just something magical about this track. Blissfully deep and perfect summer music for sweet, sunshine days or hot nights. It is has been the morning anthem on Jose Maria Ramon's morning show for Ibiza Global Radio for a while now and, somewhat unbelievably, is already the most charted track EVER on Resident Advisor. Just SO good! GOH

Will be heard at We Love, Sundays at Space

4. Cirez D - Glow (Mouseville)

An Ibiza summer without an Eric Prydz smash just wouldn't be the same would it? 2009 it was 'On/Off' as Cirez D and in 2008 it was Pjanoo as Pryda. This time we're not sure which one to pick, as Pryda he has Inspiration and With Me, and as Eric Prydz he has a top remix of Faithless' 'I'm Not Going Home', so by a nose it's the power of Glow, which coincedentally has On/Off on the flip side. LF

Will be heard at Cream, Thursdays at Amnesia.

3. Die Vogel - Blaue Moschee (Pampa)

Remember Trompeta by SIS, the track that came from nowhere in 2008 to end up being played by everyone, from Luciano to Alfredo, well that's the kind of effect Blaue Moschee could have..........hopefully not cos it's pretty awful. Championed by Sven Vath and a kind of Timewarp anthem, it's sure the kind of thing Tiesto and Judge Jules are likely to pick up on. ZR

Will be heard at Tiesto, Mondays at Privilege. (Give it a few weeks, you'll see).

2. Tensnake - Coma Cat (Permanent Vacation)

Hamburger Marco Niemerski has produced a total jewel here, perfect for the beach, the pre-party, the club or the afters. Old school feel with piano vibes and definite hands in the air quality. Already played out lots by those in the know during the first half of 2010, it's likely to be a big crossover record featuring in all sorts of parties. Catchy riff of the year award! GOH

Will be heard at Wonderland, Fridays at Eden

1. Dennis Ferrer - Hey Hey (Objektivity/Defected)

Predictable or what? Even though it's been around since last year, you'll find that that's usually a trait of a good inescapable track (like 'La Mezcla') and also, the fact it was still big time at Miami WMC bodes well for those who like their summer anthems well tried and tested. Dennis has already been given the Spotlight treatment once this year, so we'll hold back on more superlatives, instead check him out here at WMC looking like he's "having a good time". LF

Will be heard at Defected, Saturdays at Pacha (and every single bar, shop and taxi cab on the island.)
