5. Come Together - Thursday at Space
The details for this one are so sketchy that rumours are all you're getting I'm afraid.......though it's worth mentioning when the rumours are mentioning names like Leftfield, Armand Van Helden, Calvin Harris and Mark Ronson. I even heard one about Grandmaster Flash being lined up!! Definite watch this space.......
4. Amnesia Presents - Friday at Amnesia
The club have been sniffing around doing this for a while, what with the likes of Underworld and Deadmau5 having done shows in the last couple of years. Sharing duties with People from Ibiza on Fridays, Amnesia Presents will be a series of live showcases from electronic music gurus. Signed up so far are Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, 2ManyDJs, Ettiene de Crecy and Digitalism.
3. Warung - Wednesday at Privilege
The Brazilian beach club is world renowned as just one of those places you have to play as a DJ when you reach the stage of trotting around the globe. It also makes it tricky for such a club starting in Ibiza, as most of its usual guests are tied down to exclusives elsewhere, yet despite that, Warung have only gone and produced a ripsnorter of a line-up. The Coco Loco continues the Meganite tradition of label showcases (Get Physical, Supernature or Mobilee anyone??) whilst the Main Room has Gui Boratto, Dirty Vegas, Kevin Saunderson, Audiofly, Nick Warren and X-Press 2.
2. Cadenza - Sunday at Pacha
It would actually be embarrassing if you'd not heard about this yet. (Read all about it here.) Since then, we've found out the theme for the party is 'Vagabundos' and names like Moodymann, DJ Koze, Theo Parrish, Henrik Schwarz and Stacey Pullen will be playing. Those guys are just the tip of the iceberg too as Cadenza's line-ups enter not only new territory for Pacha but for Ibiza itself. Some seriously interesting and talented individuals ready to tear Pacha a new one.
1. Kehakuma - Wednesday at Space
I wouldn't go as far as saying it was no contest for the number one, but it was certainly heading that way. Not strictly new as it ran for the latter half of 2009's season, but that was a mere pilot for what was to come. Suffice to say that Kehakuma have pulled out a MASSSSIVE line-up of underground house and techno dons, with Nick Curly and Guy Gerber the main residents and guest slots from Radio Slave, Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y., Ellen Allien, Seth Troxler, Tiefschwarz, Johnny D, Dennis Ferrer and Francois K. Some dates feature 7 or 8 stellar artists on the same billing and best of all, entry is only €25 all season long.......absolute bargain!
