Sankeys Manchester announces 20 Years celebrations

Because you’ll need somewhere to cure your Ibiza blues after the season ends…

Sankeys Manchester have announced a string of very special parties celebrating 20 years since the club's formation in Manchester in the nineties. Among the events listed are a few we've come to love in Ibiza this year including Tribal Sessions, Viva Warriors and Cuff, all of which have listed some of the biggest DJs in the world at the moment to play their parties on British soil.

The club will be reopening after its summer closure on Friday 12th September, bringing back Tribal Sessions as a regular Friday night fixture to the Beehive Mill venue, which was a soap factory before being taken over and converted into one of the best clubs in the world today. Playing the opening will be Tribal Sessions resident Darius Syrossian, The Martinez Brothers and Jozef K. The following day sees the return of Viva Warriors to the north of England, with Steve Lawler, Cassy, Nick Curly and System 2 all set to take to the decks in the basement.

However, if you're still in Ibiza in September don't worry, because the first weekend of October (Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th) is set to be just as huge as the re-opening of the club, as Sankeys will be celebrating 14 years of Tribal Sessions! Part one of the weekender will feature the mixing talents of Ibiza regular DJ Sneak, Greg Vickers b2b Just Be (fresh off the back of their Essential Mix recorded at Sankeys Ibiza), Darius Syrossian, Hector Couto, Jozef K, Oli Furness and a special guest. A pretty hefty line-up, no? But wait, that's only part one! Part Two will see Apollonia (Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky) headline, a live show from Guti, Chappel and another special guest. If there's ever a reason to leave the white isle, this is probably it.

With such a huge line-up of quality artists crammed only into a month of weekend parties, it'll be interesting to see what Sankeys are planning for the rest of the year. Many clubbers out here fall in love with Sankeys' ‘no frills' attitude to partying and it's simplistic approach to music clubbing, but it was the original Sankeys in Manchester that provided the blueprints to the Ibiza club and rewrote the rulebook on how clubbing could and should be done. So if you've been to the club in Playa d'en Bossa but have never ventured to Manchester before, there's no better time than this autumn.
