SlapFunk marks 15 years with extended day-to-night session at Playa Soleil

Samuel Deep shows no signs of slowing the funk down on Sunday 10 May.

Acclaimed record label SlapFunk celebrates its 15th anniversary this summer on Ibiza, with a series of parties at beachside Playa Soleil.

The full programme is yet to be released, but the opening is set for this coming Sunday 10 May.

Starting at 16:00 in the afternoon, the extended 14-hour party is a milestone moment for one of electronic music's most respected collectives.

The line-up brings together a core mix of artists and global talent, including London-based Isaac Carter, Utrecht's very own Locklead and House music legend Chez Damier. They are all set to perform alongside SlapFunk founder Samuel Deep who goes back-to-back with DJ Senc.

Rising all-girl duo Yass & Mali also appear, while a standout pairing of Tania Vulcano b2b Sonja Moonear is another highlight. Two of the underground's most complete DJs come together to create a whole greater than the sum of their individual parts. Priceless.

Running until 06:00, the run-time underscores SlapFunk’s commitment to longer sets, encouraging immersion on the dancefloor.

With the weekend already shaping up to be a huge huge one on Ibiza, how about rolling straight from your Saturday night plans to Playa Soleil’s beachfront setting? If you've got the stamina...

Back in 2011, SlapFunk was born out of a tight-knit group of music lovers searching for a safe, welcoming space to share their passion for stripped-back, groove-heavy sounds. That same ethos remains at the heart of the brand today.

Sunday will be a celebration of the label’s journey from its grassroots beginnings in Utrecht to an internationally respected name in the scene.

Knowing the community that has grown around SlapFunk’s distinct identity, we're confident its loyal crowd will roll through for this one.

After all, the sound is still slappin' fifteen years down the line.
