"Fourteen years in the making", as stated in his Instagram announcement post, Casanova Gordo has landed his first-ever residency at Pacha Ibiza.
Landing on first on Friday 1 May, before returning for a five week stint on Tuesdays between 25 August and 22 September, Gordi presents Taraka rolls from one end of the season to the other.
Yes, Gordo makes no secret for his love of women. Spend five minutes scrolling his Instagram and that's obvious. But this time, the Guatemalan-raised heavyweight with Nicaraguan heritage is channeling that energy into something more profound than his lover-man reputation.
Instead of inviting anyone, he's opting to make this residency not just about him, but about shining the light on the next wave of female talent.
Meaning 'star' or 'protector' in Sankrit, Taraka is about creating space for female artists.
Every week at Pacha, he'll invite established and rising stars to join him. He has already revealed the official Taraka residents DJs. Sacchi and Gala are the two burgeoning names he's backing all the way.
"Support women DJs or you're the problem," he continued. Seemingly, he's prepared to put his money where his mouth is. We didn't expect anything less. Gordo has become one of the biggest DJs in the Latin world. Now, he's finally putting his stamp on Ibiza in his own inimitable way.
