Some parties are born in the boardroom, others are born on the dancefloor. For Josh Baker, the idea to start his own party brand YOU&ME sparked right here at Amnesia over a decade ago.
Now, the Minimal House trailblazer comes full circle. Returning to the club that inspired it all for his first weekly Ibiza residency, taking place every Thursday from 2 July to 1 October.
One of the most in-demand names of the moment, Josh Baker is behind hits like Something To Me and last summer’s record-on-repeat Back It Up with Omar+. Not to mention, a founding force of Hide&Seek Festival and production school SYNTHO, nurturing the next-gen electronic talent.
Before earning his rightful rep as a scene disrupter, Josh Baker is first and foremost a raver.
He recalls spending every week of the 2015 season soaking up the energy of the famed Amnesia Terrace, while subconsciously learning the art of reading the room, all from the crowd’s perspective.
It’s these polaroid moments that form the identity of YOU&ME. A gathering built on intimacy, togetherness and connectivity, soundtracked to expertly curated beats and championing next-gen selectors. The exact names of which are still under wraps for now.
Last summer, YOU&ME’s showcase at 528 Ibiza was a sell-out success. While Baker himself delivered some of the season’s stand-out moments, including back-to-back sets with Jamie Jones, Rossi. and the ultimate closing party showdown with Luciano, all fittingly taking place at Amnesia.
