Front row to the fireworks on 24 August: San Antonio's prime perches

Our guide to the top spots to behold the town's famous skyfire spectacle.

The popular resort of San Antonio will burst into life this coming 24 August for the Fiestas de Sant Bartomeu (St. Bartholomew’s Day festivities), a vibrant celebration that pays tribute to the town's patron saint with a fusion of traditional charm and pulsating modern energy.

The festivities culminate in the main event: a simply breathtaking fireworks display at midnight that never fails to attract thousands of onlookers eager to witness one of the island's dazzling pyrotechnical shows.

Launched from the park by Sa Punta des Molí, the fireworks create a brilliant spectacle where explosions of colour reflect off the Mediterranean waters.

Thousands of spectators, ranging from locals and residents to holidaymakers - flock to the town’s promenades and beaches to soak up the electric atmosphere. It’s a pulsating pageant for the entire family!

Prime views are guaranteed from this year's new revelation at hotel Bonito Ibiza, the Mexican rooftop restaurant Cielito. Offering a special experience (for the very reasonable price of €70) with its own fireshow, food and drinks, it guarantees you'll be well entertained while midnight approaches.

Set on the tiny beach of S'Estanyol, along the inner bay road, Pisco Beach offers a more intimate viewpoint along with absolutely delicious authentic Peruvian homemade cooking.

Cool poolside restaurant, Mimo's, at the charming Las Mimosas boutique hotel, is also an excellent option, offering delicious Italian and Mediterranean cuisine in a privileged setting.

Rooftop Nine at INNSiDE Ibiza Beach, in the bay, is a perennial fav among sunset lovers all season long. Imagine then the thrill of seeing the fireworks from this top destination while local icons Ibiza Global Radio livestream it!

Across the bay in San Antonio, Es Nautic's rooftop is a great place to watch it from, but be aware, it gets very busy.

Close by, in the heart of the yachting marina, longstanding doyen on the town's gastro scene Villa Mercedes offers not only unobstructed, sweeping vistas of the display but a specially curated Mediterranean-inspired menu to accompany it. Let your palate be dazzled as you feast on the tapestry of light!

Overlooking the marina, Aragma is a premium pick. Enjoy some tasty Greek fare and a glass of ouzo or so first, then get in touch with your inner Zorba for a toe-tapping, close-up view of the show!

Further firework thrills will be on the menu at Palapa, just by the 'egg' statue, whose frontline views, youthful vibes and Mexican street food and cocktails make it a prime choice. Ándale!

And, of course, Itaca, on San Antonio's main beach, is the ideal vantage point to look out over the bay towards the sea and revel in the high-energy atmosphere. On the beach itself, there will be live music by local singer Irene Ponce and the band Lemot, followed by the I Love Sant Antoni with DJ Kyeran. Bring on the show!
