Todd Terry's Freeze Project has been tearing up the Wednesday night dancefloor at Eden, as part of his first-ever solo residency on the island.
The Grammy-nominated producer has handpicked a line-up of veritable House selectors, with upcoming guests including Mark Knight, Barbara Tucker, Majestic, Illyus & Barrientos, Steve Taylor and Richard Earnshaw.
While every week delivers something special, Janika Tenn stands out as a weekly resident.

Recently releasing music through her own imprint, TennTonik Records, Janika continues to build a signature sound that’ manages to be both nostalgic and cutting-edge. Her latest June release, One More Time, is a polished, feel-good groove that reflects her club-focused sensibilities.
This occasion saw her play alongside lithe percussionist Bongo Ben for the first half of her set. The dual performance was packed with energy, rhythm and a few surprises.
Armed with a drum pad, Ben added a percussive twist that intrigued the dancefloor, with Tenn dropping a mix of House classics and peak-time rollers. The height of proceedings, saw her mix in The Funk by Wh0.
With only a humble hour to play with, Janika took us on a House music journey, from the '90s and Noughties classics to modern heavy-hitters. Overall, it was a perfectly crafted set that paid homage to the genre's roots, while facing resolutely forward.
Bold transitions and sharp track selection kept the crowd moving from start to finish, Janika set the tone for a night that proved why Freeze Project has become a midweek staple in San Antonio.
With its focus on high-energy performances, House roots that run deep, and floor-filling selections, Freeze Project is delivering exactly what Todd Terry promised at the start of the season.
"We’re going to take you back to the funk and soul of House, and we need that! More music, more variety, and better than anyone else. True House music fans, you need to come check us out!"
So far, he's been true to his word.
