Caught in the moment | Prunk & Kellie Allen at Cova Santa

A snapshot of the PIV dancefloor on 3 June.

Amsterdam export PIV has already established itself as one of the most respected House music labels and party series of the modern era, consistently delivering quality releases and unforgettable dancefloor experiences across Europe.

With a reputation for carefully crafted line-ups showcasing both established and emerging talent, its parties at Cova Santa were already considered amongst the venue's best. After fortnightly parties last summer, it has returned to the San José hills for its first full season in 2025.

It only made sense for a fellow Dutch artist to open the first PIV party of 2025. Retrouve started off the night with their eclectic blends of deep and funky House, of course not forgetting to spin their PIV release Feels So Right, that came out earlier this year.

Treated to another two-for-the-price-of-one, Birmingham based duo Ruze came on shortly after just as the dancefloor began to fill up nicely. Also part of the PIV family, they had their first release on the label back in 2020 that helped cement their name in the scene.

What started off at a pedestrian pace soon morphed into a set that would set the tone for the rest of the night. This included several unexpected tracks from the archives, including edits of Cher's Believe, Breach's 2023 phenomenon Everything We Never Had and old school Garage groover Friendly Pressure by Sunship and Jhelisa.

Each selection had even the fresh looking Gen Zs going crazy.

PIV Ibiza | Cova Santa

Night fell on Cova Santa and signalled that it was time to hand over to our party host and label-boss Prunk, who was joined the decks by long-standing PIV affiliate Kellie Allen.

With no need to exchange intros, the pair got straight down to work rolling out infatuating House beats across the next two hours of their back-to-back set with one mutual agenda: raise the funk.

Grooving basslines and soulful vocal cuts kept the now buzzing dancefloor in a wavy state of play, and with an aerial view of the dancefloor from the VIP balcony, we can confirm that no partying being would be seen dead standing still in this crowd.

Likewise, we found ourselves deep in a sense of groove. Taking momentary breaks only to load up Shazam. Alexa Perl’s recent 2025 drop Deep In My Soul has gone straight into our playlist rotation, amongst many other fire finds.

Who says phones on the dancefloor are always a negative thing?

To close outside, Prunk and Allen allocated their final spin to one of Ibiza's most treasured island classics, I Want You In My Soul by Lovebirds. The dreamy extended mix never fails to radiate pure love and certainly sent us off on an elated high.

Although duties calling elsewhere on the island sadly pulled us away, PIV's party people were in no hurry to flag a taxi with us. To Prunk's command, the party moved downstairs into Cova Santa's club room where the dancing continued into the early hours.
