Ibiza is all DJs and dancefloors, right? Think again. Beyond the world-famous clubs and abundance of electronic music, a thriving live music scene hides in plain sight. Scattered across the island, you'll find intimate beach bars and rooftop terraces hosting acoustic sunsets, with Soulful Jazz and bustling bars where Rock and Blues take centre stage.
Whether it's a local band raising the roof or a stripped-down acoustic set, live music happens here more often than you'd expect, sometimes nightly, sometimes a few times a week, all depending on the venue. It's not just about the sound; expect craft cocktails, cold beers, and delicious bites to complete the experience. So, if you're ready for a well-earned break from DJ sets, here's where to tune in to Ibiza's best-kept musical secrets.
Around Ibiza Town

Ibiza Town's rendezvous point for bohemians, socialites and culture vultures par excellence, Teatro Pereyra is a multicultural hub all year-round. A stunning setting, the Parisian-style circus/theatre hosts nightly high-class entertainment showstoppers that combines acrobatics, choreography, dance, and live music.
Just down the road, Ibiza Town's municipal concert and theatre hall, Can Ventosa cultural centre, is home to a wide variety of musical concerts, spanning genres such as Contemporary, Classical, and Jazz.
Jazz-Tà Bé is a lively venue in the newer area of Ibiza Town and draws Jazz fanatics and live music cognoscenti from across the island to enjoy soulful performances in its intimate setting. You can even fuel your enjoyment with Jazz-Tà Bé's signature range of montaditos (open-faced sandwiches), which are aptly named after musical genres, alongside great quality cocktails.

One of those select spots where you can truly say “local legend”, Can Jordi Blues Station lies on the Ibiza Town to San José Road, about halfway between the two. A typical countryside grocery store and cafe/bar, it features two weekly live music performances on Thursdays and Saturday afternoons, led by local and international artists. Seriously, this place rocks! Grab a bocadillo and a drink, mix with residents and holidaymakers and soak up its unique vibes.
Renowned for its charcoal grills, Cas Costas is a highly popular roadside restaurant situated just outside Can Bellotera on the same Ibiza Town to San José Road. Every Thursday it offers a diverse lineup of acoustic and Jazz sets, along with fantastic Flamenco nights every Tuesday evening from June onwards.
Another great spot located just outside Can Bellotera, Rosana's Ibiza serves up an irresistible combination of tapas and typical local dishes. Every Saturday, it becomes a hub of high-class live music by artists and ensembles from the island. Genres range from Rock and Roll, Swing and Blues to Big Band, Country, Soul and Folk. Something for live music devotees of any ilk.
San Antonio and the west coast

The Concept Hotel Group has speckled their signature Art Deco style throughout San Antonio and the Bay area. While they have made a name for themselves as the slightly edgy and uber-cool place to stay, their artistic reach also extends into their hotel grounds for live music shows.
Saturday nights come alive at Ryans Lolas with Rock & Ryans, a weekly live music series featuring national and international bands. Running every Saturday from 2 to 30 May, performances span Rock, Soul, Blues and Alternative sounds, with free entry, outdoor dining and drinks, in a vibrant celebration of Ibiza’s local music scene.
Held once a month and accompanied by a neo-lit stage, the Dorado Live Shows at Venice Bay Ibiza in San Antonio Bay are more like mini-concerts for the cool Ibiza crowd. At their sister venue in Cala Gracio, Cubanito, the Sunset Malecón combines one of the best sunsets on the island with smooth Latino grooves led by Cuban musician Ricardito and his band.
Set along the San Antonio Bay coastline, the Caló de s'Oli auditorium is a beautiful outdoor space which hosts a selection of events, including live music and shows. Often running from the late afternoon and into early evening, it's a fantastic location to catch a show with the sun setting in the background.

One of three top dining establishments at the luxurious Petunia Ibiza, La Mesa d'es Vedrà offers Mediterranean dishes inspired by the Balearic spirit. Every Monday and Thursday evening, entertainment is on the menu with performances of live music, flamenco and soul. With the awe-inspiring Es Vedrà nearby: what more could you want?
Santa Eulalia and the north

With colourful, authentic street food from around the globe, Word of Mouth boasts a cool setting towards the quieter end of the Santa Eulalia promenade. With its genuine community vibe, this boho-style restaurant has gained an ardent following, and its DJ sessions - broadcast via local radio - are famed during the season. What is perhaps less known are the performances by live musicians ranging from big band to Reggae to Soul, Funk, and Jazz with Electronic fusion. Keep your eyes on their weekly schedule.

The island's best-known hippy market, the Punta Arabí Hippy Market attracts huge crowds to Es Caná every Wednesday and needs little introduction. However, one aspect that deserves to be better recognised is its vibrant live music scene. Throughout the day and across the sprawling grounds, you'll find performances by drummers and street artists, along with local and international artists and bands.

Still in Es Caná, and just a few steps from the hippy market's final stalls, EsBirra Ibiza is a very popular venue for live music featuring local, national and international bands. On Wednesday market day throughout the summer season, live music is a regular event and a fantastic pitstop for food and drink after all that shopping.
A cosy, rustic restaurant set in the country between Santa Eulalia and Es Caná, Can Suldat is a hidden gem for live music lovers, hosting intimate performances that range from Blues and Rock to Folk and Jazz.

A venue with one of the longest musical heritages on the island, Las Dalias beautiful open garden is the perfect stage for a fantastic range of live music events throughout the summer. Running mostly on Thursdays, this space is famed for its musical offerings and always attracts a super-friendly and open crowd for a dance and sing-along.

Held throughout the year on Sundays, the San Juan handicrafts market draws visitors from all over with its quality handmade items, such as jewellery, clothing, art pieces, and tasty organic food. From 12.00 hours, local artists perform live music to liven up the proceedings, taking over the quaint village square and bringing adults and children to their feet for an afternoon boogie.
With stunning sea views across Cala Nova beach, fabulous Mexican and Asian-inspired cuisine, and cool sounds, the EPIC Infinity Lounge at BLESS Ibiza Cala Nova simply oozes class. Every Friday in the summer months, chill in style to the accompaniment of Latin Jazz with a curated cocktail in hand.
While we're on the subject of music and entertainment in the island's bars and restaurants, take a look at other venues offering entertainment. You can also filter our event calendar by live music events to see what's on elsewhere on Ibiza.
