And while we’re on the topic of amorous rambles, why not set out along the ancient pilgrim's path that leads up to the pre-historic cave dedicated to the goddess Tanit. The route to Tanit's cave is well signposted and only takes about 30 minutes.
Being in the village of San Vicente, it’s a bit of a drive to get there, but, once there, you’ll be amazed at the sheer unspoiled beauty of this part of the island. A Punic goddess, Tanit represented love, sexuality and fertility. So, modern lovers in search of the ideal spot for a solitary tryst may find this one ticks all the boxes.

Just a few kilometres along the east coast from Santa Eulalia, in Cala Nova, BLESS Hotel offers an amazing day pass, allowing you to luxuriate together in its top-notch facilities. Legend has it that the best way to another’s heart is through the stomach, so we just have to include two of our most romantic restaurants. First off, there’s Las Dos Lunas near San Rafael. With oodles of amatory atmosphere emanating from every corner and hidden nooks for intimate dining, this one is a winner.
The second standout choice in this category is Amante Ibiza, on Sol d'en Serra beach near Cala Llonga, whose full moon dinners are a must.
Take it up a notch even further at Sa Capella just outside San Antonio en route to Santa Agnes. Boasting unforgettable views of the town below and the sunset-tinged mountains beyond, this verdant oasis features honey-coloured walls and rustic touches. Best of all, given that it was a former chapel, if you’re going to propose, then this is unquestionably the best place in Ibiza to do so.
