Returning to San Rafael, slap bang in the middle of the island, actually, our Ibiza club rewind roars into Amnesia.
Huge production, expansive dance floors, wild crowds and parties that last from dusk to dawn, for many Amnesia is the archetypal Ibiza club. You don't find clubs like this anywhere else in the world.
Whether it's four impressionable clubbers from London chancing upon Alfredo's open-air sets in summer '87 or its powerful CO2 cannons, Amnesia is prominent in Ibiza modern day folklore.
Just namecheck the parties: Cocoon, Cream, Matinée, Foam & Diamonds. All of them iconic.
Lots of great sets spring to mind. Whittling them down to a handful was no easy task, but the three below capture the stature, energy and Balearic hedonism of this world famous club.

For as long as we can remember, Amnesia has pulled out all of the stops for its closing party. It really goes big for the final farewell. Big line-ups and big crowds.
And why not? Afterwards, the venue will remain closed until May the following year. Sounds like a proper excuse for everybody to let their hair down and party, party, party.
Long before concepts Music On and ENTER. had even been conceived, check out Techno tycoons Marco Carola and Richie Hawtin going back-to-back on The Terrace. See what we said about pulling out all the stops?
These parties always tend to be technofests and they are amongst the best parties of the year. Just look at the antics on the dance floor and inside the booth. Legendary.

Another year, another closing party. Musically different to the above as we crossover into the Club Room, but the atmosphere is fever pitch all the same.
Raised within Amnesia's walls, Mar-T has learned from and been inspired by the best in the business. The crowd is electric and the podium dancers psyched, as he lays on a powerhouse set.
Uplifting grooves, Tech stormers and house anthems all mixed together for the true Amnesia experience. The season ends with a bang!

As mentioned previously, Amnesia has long been a destination to enjoy the underground spoils Ibiza offers. Ricardo Villalobos' extended sets on The Terrace are part of that history. Throw house gangster DJ Sneak into the mix and you have all the ingredients of a classic.
Pyramid was new on the scene in 2018, but this b2b at its opening set the standard high from the beginning.
Programmed in-house using Amnesia's extensive network of DJ connections, Pyramid caters to fans of Minimal House and Techno alike.
The future
Behind the scenes, there's been a passing of the torch. After 30 years at the helm and a great legacy, Martín Ferrer Casals hands control over to his son, Martín Ferrer Vega.
Jamie Jones' Paradise is primed to make its long awaited debut at Amnesia, while in-house production Pyramid returns but in a new slot on Sunday. Commercial House is covered by Amnesia Presents, which is being fronted by Sonny Fodera, Gorgon City and Danny Howard.
Fans of Spanish-language music are looked after by BRUTAL and Mamacita, while the ever reliable elrow will continue packing in the punters on flagship Saturday nights. Meanwhile, Fridays will be a revolving door, with various promoters taking turns to programme the night.
Amnesia is in safe hands as it heads into a new era.
