Small'n'Friendly Hotels in Ibiza

The old saying that 'big is beautiful' doesn't always ring true for everyone

The old saying that 'big is beautiful' doesn't always ring true for everyone. Take staying in a hotel for example where it can certainly be said that smaller hotels can have the advantage over bigger ones by providing a more personal and personable service.

Many of the smaller hotels in Ibiza which are family owned and run rely on their existing guests returning again and again for their livelihoods. It makes sense for them to give the best service possible to their clients to achieve this.

A group of family run Hostals (they're not youth hostels) and hotels in San Antonio have formed together under the banner of 'Small'n'Friendly' to promote themselves to the holiday-making public with the aim of providing quality holidays to the island.

Each of the Small'n'Friendlies must;
have no more than 100 rooms
be a family business
have air-conditioning and a TV in every room
be quality controlled to a uniform standard
and most importantly - have an emphasis on personalised service and a commitment to assisting guests to enjoy the wealth of entertainment choice on Ibiza.

I'm not going to tell you if this works or not, so I'll leave it up to some of the past guests at Small'n'Friendly' establishments on Ibiza Spotlight. Here's what they said in their reviews

room at the mitjorn san antonio

Mitjorn (photo above) - I loved the place coz of a person that works there called MARIO.. he makes the place to joyful and takes a good personal care of your needs

Osiris - friendly helpful staff. Staff even delivered a bottle of sparkling wine and 4 glasses on the house as they realised it was my brothers 40th birthday

Valencia (photo below) - Cute, charming, friendly hotel on a quiet street in San Antonio. Fernando is very friendly and helpful, and the rest of the staff is nice as well

terrace of the valencia, san antonio

Marfil - clean, neat and beautiful. Had helpful staff, etc

Tarba - was allot more than what I expected for the price we paid. The staff were very friendly and efficient and at times went way out of there way to help

So, if you're looking for a place to stay with a little bit of individual style, character and service combined with a wealth of knowledge about the area then you need look no further than these hotels; Marfil, Mari, Valencia, Orosol, Osiris, Mitjorn, Tarba, Florencio and Marino – all in San Antonio.

You can read more about these individual hotels and hostels in our main hotel pages

Happy holidays!
