The Christmas lights have already been ceremonially switched

The Christmas lights have already been ceremonially switched on in San Antonio by the mayor and the council has a wide range of activities planned for young and old during the festive season.


As always there'll be a special marquee erected in the town's 'fountains square' where most of the special events will take place. We've picked out the ones which will appeal most to visitors to Ibiza at Christmas though there are many many more but mostly aimed at Catalan speaking local kids.

15/12 18.00: San Mateo wine festival
16/12 19.45: Christmas carols in the church
21/12 21.00: Concert with 'Los Chichos'
22/12 20.30: Concert with 'Ibiza Gospel'
23/12 18.00: Shows for kids. 'Santa Clown' and martial arts
24/12 24.00: Music for dancing with 'Lola'
25/12 12.00: Swimming race across the harbour
26/12 10.00: Solidarity day with a market, music and raffles.
27/12 17.00: Traditional procession singing round the streets
28/12 21.30: Freaky Night with 'Los Hermanos Calatrava'
29/12 10.00: Organised hike to Es Broll
30/12 10.00: Organised hike round the Santa Ines area
31/12 24.00: New Year party with 'Luz de Gas'

All will take place in the marquee unless otherwise stated.
