Once again, the month of October hosts the festivities of the Patron Saint of San Rafael, which celebrates its big day on Tuesday 24 October.
With a wide variety of activities from traditional dances, markets, concerts, walks and even its own beer festival, these festivities are not to be missed.
Find our highlights of the programme below:
- Saturday 7 October. From 18:30h, dance exhibition and performance by APE Dream Dance.
- Sunday 15 October. From 10:00 to 14:00h, craft and rural market. From 11:00h, 'Vermut at 45 rpm', vinyl music by well-known DJs from the island. At 14:30 h, grand popular paella.
- Saturday 21 October. 15th edition of the Octubrefest festival, beer and music festival.
- Sunday 22 October. At 9:30 h, nordic walking departing from the Church of San Rafael.
- Tuesday 24 October. San Rafael's big day, with solemn mass, traditional dances and live music by Simple Rock and Aires Formenterencs.
- Friday 27 October. At 20:30h, night walk under the full moon. Meeting point at the marquee.
- Sunday 29 October. At 11:30h, special trotting race at the Hippodrome of San Rafael.
- Wednesday 1 November. All Saints' Day Children's party at the park, with fancy dresses, make-up and music.
