It is clear that the owners have put much attention to detail in the design and feel of the place and today, La Dispensa has become a landmark site within the walls of Dalt Vila, Ibiza's old town.
There is a range of food offerings with the main menu offering the traditional Italian way of taking in the four-courses of starter, pasta course, main and dessert. These dishes showcase the talent and thoughtfulness of the head chef in using the best quality ingredients cooked perfectly. Try one of their starters of unctuous burrata cheese and fresh tomatoes or the truffle-infused steak tartare. Their rack of lamb is legendary and the locally hand-reared chicken is a profusion of great flavours. There are some amazing Italian desserts as well as a range of great wines.
The other offerings span Spain to Japan with tapas or big platters of acorn-fed cured ham or a crispy calamari with a citrus mayonnaise. It is probably the only Italian restaurant on the island to offer sushi as an appetiser and this just adds to the clever food eclecticism of this place.
