It’s time to open those doors...a weekly preview of Ibiza clubland

After the grand opening of Space on Sunday, clubbing fever is alive and well in Ibiza; it’s now the turn for the other big clubs to get their parties kicked off.

In a new weekly feature, we’ll be taking a look at the week ahead and what clubbing treats are in store.

Starting with the biggest opening party of the week, we find ourselves at Eden on Sunday 10 June for the massive Judgement Sunday.

Judgement Sunday dancerNow in it’s eighth season in Ibiza, Judgement Sunday - billed as San Antonio’s busiest night - continues to get stronger each year, with some of the biggest trance and hard house dj’s playing to an appreciative crowd.

With an opening party line-up including Judge Jules, Marco V, Matt Hardwick and Vicky Devine, plus a full house of up-for-it clubbers, this will certainly be one to remember.

Wednesday 6 June sees the return of Garlands to Eden, for another summer of wild parties, even wilder dancers and of course, an uplifting funky house soundtrack. The Garlands theme for 2007 is Icons, so if you’re lucky you may bump into Marilyn Monroe on the dance floor, or Marilyn Manson if you’re really unlucky.

The opening of El Divino in Ibiza Town is traditionally a busy affair and on Friday 8 June the glam super-club will once again be packed to the rafters. Home to some exciting club nights this season – including Kissdafunk, Miss Moneypenny’s, Milk’n’2 Sugars and Hed Kandi – we’re expecting good things at El Divino this year.

Changes are afoot at Es Paradis, as the previous Tuesday night residents Tidy vs. Extreme Euphoria have split, leaving us with Tidy Ibiza. Setting it all off on Tuesday 5 June are The Tidy Boys, Anne Savage and Amber D.

This week will also see a handful of opening nights at Pacha – including Subliminal, F*** Me I’m Famous and Def Mix.

Join us next Monday for a preview of more Ibiza opening parties, including Hed Kandi, Gatecrasher and Manumission.
